Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I am loving this "Aggressive Recruitment Drive" we are on...

It's putting so much confidence in me that we are heading upwards.

so far.... Signed Fainu boys and that's it.

I am going to email the club and ask them to slow down so us fans can enjoy each and every player signed and not be rushed to the next one.

Well, we should get some news Monday on who is going to fill the top 30 for this year as its deadline day.
Love the sarcasm!
So far we have signed 2 brothers .One has never played NRL the other has 5 NRL games under his belt . Playing at NRL level is a big step up -thats a fact and we have absolutely no idea if they will succeed in the big league They are very young and getting 4 year deals each at 500 k each per season is great for them .Financial security before they have achieved anything in the NRL .Dont think it was a hard sell !
Who else so far ? ATM nothing !
Seems we might get Sullivan as other suitors maybe withdrawing with regard to Sezer we have offered only a one year deal? Surprised if he jumps at that .
Zero Tackle have an article forecasting every clubs likely recruitment and each clubs best possible 17 for 2024 and ours is just depressing as it contains a bunch who have failed this year and still there next year

Imagine if it wasn't Aggressive we would be up SH'T CREEK

Payne Haas is a deadset cheat code, a genetic freak - call him what you like! Never seen a player like him! The bloke played 70 mins in extreme humidity made 21 runs for 210 metres and 42 tackles without a single miss! When all others were dropping like flies, the biggest man on the field looked like he wasn’t feeling an ounce of fatigue! Honestly, people questioning if he’s a million dollar player have lost their mind! We literally didn’t offer him enough to sign him! As influential a player as any in the comp!

Our major problem embarking on an aggressive recruitment drive is available roster spots. For the first time in yonks we have the cap space, but we have limited roster spots. It’s also very hard to offload contracted players who are already been paid overs and are not in demand.

The two kids from Manly and maybe a couple more is not going to change things much if anything next year. It’s probably yet another year of pain before the worm starts to move upwards.

Yes please? We should offer Nofa & Kepaoa for Olam.

OLAM STUCK ON THE OUTER

The future of tough Storm centre Justin Olam is under a cloud, despite him having another three years on his contract.

The 29-year-old PNG star was dropped from the side two weeks ago to the Sunshine Coast Falcons, despite a shortage of centres at the club.

Olam extended his contract at Storm on a big-money package until the end of 2026 after winning Dally M centre of the year in 2021.

He broke his arm earlier this year and has struggled since returning.

Storm coach Craig Bellamy and general manager Frank Ponissi are monitoring the situation closely.

There has been talk of him being offered to rival clubs, although this could not be confirmed.

If another club was to make an offer, there’s no question the Storm would give it serious consideration.

Melbourne want to be in a position to make an offer to Broncos front-rower Payne Haas but are struggling to find the salary cap space.

So the Storm want to make Haas an offer but don't have the room so the solution is to get rid of Olam because he is taking time to come back from serious injury.
