Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Very solid mate, he is giving Penrith 10 days notice. Unless the Laundy's offer him a third party pub ownership deal.
Interesting but technically according to the new contract laws. That only takes place once he agrees to a contract. So if this is true, it means he has agreed to a contract with either Us or the Bulldogs.

@ROZELLE.O.G

How can we compete with the dogs ?

Even if they offered near us he would choose them you’d think with all his mates and the coach

And they’re offering him an extra year than us

So how and why would he choose us?

Doesn’t make sense

Also dogs are faves now in the media for this very reasons

Just interested in your take on it

Sauce?

No way … I don’t believe it.

But would be kinda cool

Ok so if he signs , which young half you reckon leaves?

Hope not galvin

I kind of agree as we have seen this happen way too many times to us.. If he wanted to join, he would have by now or even committed etc.. Maybe we need to take the Dogs approach and sit back and wait until the end and come it and seal the deal.. If I was a player, I would prefer the club that shows interest in me first and not the last ones.
Players want different things...

Some want the P check. So I get these stupid games. Take Ryan Matterson, singed with us for 300k, got upgraded to 500k, then left us for Parra on 700k and got upgraded again.

Then refused to pay a $4000 penalty and so missed 3 games ... Good buying Parra*.

Other players like Nicho Hynes, likes playing near the sea.

The Penrith group like playing together.

Luai would ofcourse prefer to stay at Penrith. We are ofcourse offering him at least 200k to jump ship. He is torn between his mates and his paycheck. Don't judge, paycheck means he provides for his family.

*in fairness they made the finals with him.

I think we have to keep their positions fluid.

I could actually see each of Fainu, Galvin & Sullivan as halfbacks depending on how they progress. Just because Galvin will be 190cm+, why can't he be a uniquely-built halfback if he maintains his speed & agility.

Can also see Galvin & Large as fullbacks too (they are both athletes & highly-skilled, instinctual and smart footy players).

No reason Fainu couldn't develop into a hooker or Galvin a lock too.
Exactly they are all still young and no guarantee any will even be a regular NRL player.
Fainu could end up at half, five eight, lock or hooker
Galvin 5/8, centre, lock, SR etc
Large still 3/4 yrs off first grade, tho I like him at centre at this time.
time will tell.

Would not be Galvin, may be his manager Isaac Moses but not Galvin - held in very high regard by Benji.
Watched him on that podcast. Seems a very humble kid. Mentions he just wants to play against men as his next step, sees himself as a 5/8 but hasn’t spent any time before this preseason training and playing against any men ie NSWCup or First Graders. Also a wests junior left before to Parra but wanted to come back and play local.
