It would be typical though, we finally get a coach to sort out our defence and those mongrels at South's pinch him.
If John Morris goes to south's it's simply a bench warmer position until Sam Burgess is ready. That has been rumoured...though Id think hes too smart to wanna go and work with Latrell
That said head coaching jobs dont appear outta nowhere all that often and hed have a great knowledge already of the goings on there before hed even start

Short term gig.
Don't do it John
Plays golf on the PGA - has a lot more money than any NRL player but won't win the Masters.I think we have a Finau on the books don’t we KR?
I think it’s confused me previously. Not that it’s difficult to be Confucius.
I wouldn't worry too much just yet. Hornby, Burgess and of course Bennett are all in the mix too. The reasons he left there are still present. Bennett is the man to get the best out of those players. It would be typical though, we finally get a coach to sort out our defence and those mongrels at South's pinch him.
I doubt any assistant is going to turn down a head coaches gig because they are building something at their current club. The only reason they turn it down is cos they are waiting for a better gig like Bellamy did with us in 2002.I wouldn't worry too much just yet. I get the feeling Morris will like to see through what he has begun here ( not to say he doesn't want to be head coach) and of course, if he is that valuable, then pay the man accordingly.
Well I should have been more specific. I don't believe he will go back to Souths yet as in my opinion it is more attractive to finish what he has started here than to go back to the same problems that caused him to leave there. If it was another head coaching gig than yes, I would expect him to go.I doubt any assistant is going to turn down a head coaches gig because they are building something at their current club. He was there and knows what goes on , Trell and Walker do as they please , he won’t go back as he has already stood up against it , South’s need to move Both those players on to get on topThat has been rumoured...though Id think hes too smart to wanna go and work with Latrell

Jeral Skelton in Cup last week
1 try
22 runs for 302 metres
2 line breaks
10 tackle breaks
that is a first grader. yes he has issues defensively but I'd back Morris to sort him out. stuck behind Kiraz, Addo-Carr, Tracey and Wilson... we could certainly do worse.
and? we need to be looking at players that aren't being given opportunities at other clubs. Skelton fits that mould.it’s a reserve playing against reserves …

Holbrook is an interesting shout. It’s interesting but would be surprised because of the way he left. The club is a mess from admin to roster and he wasn’t listened too last year - moving JD doesn’t change any of the bigger issues.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Madge or Holbrook (he is at the Roosters now and Souths do like poaching a Rooster) is in the mix.
If Wayno wants to be head coach he would be a walk up starter as doesn’t have a head coaching gig next year.
300 metres is nuts.Jeral Skelton in Cup last week

Not if you score a couple length of the field try’s.300 metres is nuts.
Personally I don't think Morris would want to do that. That has been rumoured...though Id think hes too smart to wanna go and work with Latrell

I'm talking about 2025.we have one spare space in the Top 30 and we need a first grade player
