His body shape is not an issue if you demonstrate fast leg speed, high energy and a high work rate, however I have not seen these traits demonstrated by him in the small snippets of game time where I’ve watched him play this season.Kit Laulilii played Ron Massey Cup. Can’t really comment on why cause I don’t know. But I’ve never really rated Kit Laulilii much, he is actually deceivingly small, standing a 5”10 or 178cm. He stands at the same height as Soni Luke and Justin Olam just in a larger frame which is hard to see how he could be successful as a lock forward.
I hope he comes good but who knows. Like others I’m really worried about our backs, Lobb doesn’t fill me with too much confidence nor does Declan Casey, though I do see some potential in both, but we both now how “potential” at the Tigers usually goes.
I’ve seen a few comments questioning why we haven’t been seen trying to lure backs but isn’t that a good thing? We aren’t leaking anything to the media and I highly doubt we are just twiddling our thumbs doing nothing. But again I say who really knows cause 99% of stuff on this forum is rightly so, just speculation, just as my comments are.
He’s still very young for a middle forward and like many he may need more time, but the lack of high energy and high work rate is an area of concern.
