Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I for one would gladly send Galvin to the Panthers to get To'o. We have Fainu who can easily slot in alongside Luai, Galvin is a talent but he isn't an instant winner like To'o and will probably become a second rower or lock in the future. He may end up leaving anyhow so why not go hard for To'o.
This is the question.

Suppose a deal is on the table to make a swap, but the club stands firm to keep Galvin and lose To'o, but we lose both. Are we going to lose Galvin anyway? It kind of looks that way to me.

So u would swap a GUN 5/8 for a winger , are u mad . What the club needs to do is to get a pack that can give this great backline a chance , if we do sign some quality forwards and make a run for the semi’s next year maybe that will convince Galvin to stay , but u don’t throw away a playmaker for a winger

If there is a swap and this goes ahead, it will be a player Cleary believes will fit seamlessly into the Panthers' system.

There all kids again that won’t play 1st grade , some are 21 and have struggled, we are not learning
Yep kids , this just not good enough , and depth it says , that’s fine what about the main game the NRL team , we are last and non of the 7 will help us. Move up the ladder in 2025 , more lip service with no strength

Yeah I guess that's my point. Plenty of backs making debuts, but very few forwards. Miller being the only one from memory. Maybe Kit L?

Seems like the forwards are well behind and we have a while to wait before we see them in NRL consistently.
I think, as a broad rule, forwards can tend to take a bit longer to mature to NRL, just given the requirements of their positions.

As an example, if you look at the best teenagers of recent times, Galvin, Talagi, Strange, even back to the likes of Sua'ali'i and Walsh, they're all backs (generally).

But, in our side, we've already got Pole (22), Samuela (20) and Sione (22), so our generation now is up and going, it's the next crop that is 2/3 years away (min) from getting a decent taste.

Probably for the best though.
