There is zero indication he would want to go down there early if he signs. If he did though, signing NAS would be a little silly given May has just come on the market. Any roster spot that becomes available, he should be no 1 priority. So if Pole does want to go to Melbourne do we ask for NAS straight away? Or let the season play out?
The issue would be the big dollars NAS is on in this year's cap.
Bateman out.
If we land May & Hetherington I think we just play it out & keep Pole as bench impact on lower dollars.
The contract extension stated an upgrade this year & 2 years after that.
Obviously the upgrade doesn't happen.

Tom, even a barometer isn’t all that useful on its own. Knowing it’s a low pressure event isn’t all that helpful without measuring humidity to know if there is water in the air.regardless of what he does .. the only barometer that matters is wins and losses …

Wins and Losses for us now is extremely telling. But to fight out of this mess it’s going to take five years of improvements on a number of gauges.
I will be the 1st to say I was wrong , but I just don’t see anything coming outr why , every other club is making signings that we could have really use , and please tell me what did he get out of England , NOTHING. But again if he has a rabbit up his sleeve I will apologisePost 1.
Everyone who moaned and dished out of Richo for his patience should have a little smile now. Everyone who said he flew to England and so he needs to show results. Everyone who said he is all talk once he got home and still hardly signed anyone…
Smile because even when you are wrong, Richo has your back.
Richo predicted the offseason movement.
Richo waiting, despite the typical Aussie need for a leader to ‘look decisive’ is a powerful sign of his leadership
Even if he doesn’t sign anyone, I feel so happy to have a CEO in place who KNOWS RUGBY LEAGUE. A leader who doesn’t want to look good at his job, but instead wants to be good at his job.
Post 2 will be when he lands a couple of forwards to strengthen our pack.
Even if it was cooked... if its anything like the QLD system, inmates get all injuries, especially old / ortho "footy" injuries on 6 months incarceration these days.Manase was looking to be one of the best 9’s in the comp before his incident. Would be worth giving him the chance although I’m pretty sure his shoulder is/was completely cooked, there’s a real possibility even without prison his NRL career could have been over by now
and please tell me what did he get out of England , NOTHING.
I really believe team Galvin & Benji will come to the realisation next season, that his size and speed will inhibit him staying at 5/8 and he is destined for the pack.I have a question for everyone.
Who would you prefer to keep Galvin or Latu if you can only one.
I think I would take Latu if it means we keep all of the Fainu's
Who knows if he's truly remorseful or not. Only those close know. But humans can, and do change, unlike leopards. The thing is, is he truly remorseful? And a leopard doesn't change its spots. We don't want to add bad off field culture to the bad on field and training culture
Agreed. Fainu has that quality about him; when there is a chance of a try you know he will convert it.I really believe team Galvin & Benji will come to the realisation next season, that his size and speed will inhibit him staying at 5/8 and he is destined for the pack.
So Latu, hands down.
Bit of mongrel in that pack !2025 pack - let me dream. lol. (If we want to be a top 6 side)

Bench;
Klem,
Hunt
Twas/Seyfarth/ Sione
TDS/Latu/Bird
On the basis Pole to Melb, Bateman out. Frizelle early release + only 2 yr contract.
Would release Klem too to keep Sione on bench as a spot instead but not likely to have any takers.
Release AD for cap space to get both NAS and May. Yes short in centers but could find a smokey or have Bird / Toa / local junior play. Olam other spot or early retire him if his knee is bad.
Offload one of Naden, Sullivan - pay 50% of freight to release a spot and free up $.
Thanks for indulging
imagine the backs being the dressing room and seeing Hunt, NAS, May, Klem, Samuela, Frizz -- and then seeing Luai and Api -- all standing around -- you'd be frothing knowing those boys were going to run out with you.Bit of mongrel in that pack !
Reminds me a bit of Roach, Hemsley, McGuire etc.
Any loan to the Roosters, you’ll never see them again. Besides, no one wants Sullivan. He‘s dead weight.Roosters are going to need half/hooker this year and they are fairly stocked with forwards.
I wonder if we can take Nat Butcher off their hands and give L Fainu or J Sullivan for a year loan deal ala Harry to us in 2020.
Do we have a third hooker behind Api? We could think about giving TDS to them for a year as well, he'll get some good exposure in the Roosters team.
I agree.Still not sold on Hertherington. Would much prefer a specialist edge backrow especially if Bateman goes.
Get May first then go hard for Nikora or Siua Wong or one of the young Melbourne backrowers few options out there
👎🙃I would love to get kobe hetherington. Really suits the 13 role and can play a number of positions. Also, he's only 25 and hasn't really hit his peak but has shown signs he could be an origin player
