While I don’t disagree with you that we need another on top of what we have, I don’t think Bateman is going to be much good to us.
I feel like that ship has sailed.

You'd think Pole for sure at his age would be there as well as Douiehi considering his year last year.

He is a touch on the small side, but I’d say his above listed strengths overcomes that.
The other slight concern is he is an out and out 13 or middle forward, which would mean if he is signed for season 2025 we potentially have too many middles and not enough high quality edge forwards.

He isn't a true energiser bunny like a Paul Gallen of old, but he plugs a gap and can give us 20-35 tackles and 10-15 runs per game.

Effectively, he just does his job and we need that.

Don’t tell me that’s the first you have realised this blatant bias by the NRL towards their beloved donkeys. One major city club with it’s own major stadium, only play on Friday nights so it easier for fans, and sponsors, more profitable, prime time for tv, full weekend off or recovery for players, etc, etc.
You can sign a sponsor telling them they get PT TV almost every week and players saying you get most weekends off with your fam instead of working.
The ease with which you can then set your club routine up with minimal disruptions.
It’s a fkn armchair ride through the comp.
I blacklisted their games about 10years ago.

I agree with all your points except the comparison to a Twix.

The Twix is an outstanding chocolate bar, and the only with the biscuit crunch might I add.

I’d say he’s more like a Moro bar. Why they invented that bar when you already make a Mars bar is beyond me. Its just pointless, wasting a spot on the shelf with no takers outside a selected few people who are obviously clueless. It has nothing special about it. It’s just run of the mill. Like whoever goes oh I’m hanging for a Moro. And if you did I’d say you’re a dickhead. Just the name in itself is shit - Moro. What idiot came up with that name. Like Twal. Come on! That is a lame name.

So Tito will from now on will refer to him as the Moro.

I liked Twal when he first got here, he didn’t miss a tackle for six weeks when we were missing tackles for fun.
It took about a year for him to pass the ball, and someone said he had an offload when he was a junior, but dead set he has not improved in 100 games. And I still don’t count those “fall in ya lap” tries.
The only thing going for him is min wage and if he was the worst forward on the roster playing reggies then ok.
But we need better and should look to upgrade his position next year.

PS, I must have back him to score a try every game between games 50 and 100, (thinking this plodder must score soon), and a ball falls in his lap on game 105 or something? 🤦‍♂️
