I'm willing to give Naden a go. If the reports are true that he's come back and knuckled down, then that's the type of response you want from a player. He won the NSW Cup player of the year playing less than half the season in reserve grade, so it doesn't seem as though he kicked stones.
He's another year older, maybe another year wiser (or just wised up more accurately), and he realises he's near the end. Make a fist of it. If he can keep his head screwed on, his physical ability is an asset.
At the very least he provides good utility backup value.I think everyone can agree that Naden has the talent. He has speed, skill, size and is pretty good defensively (better than all our other centres). So if he fixes his attitude and discipline and shows that at the start of the season in cup, why wouldn't you want him in the first grade team eventually?
He would probably be our best centre on paper IF he fixed his deficiencies. Happy for the club to hold on to him to give him the opportunity to show that. At worst, he's good for depth for a season.
Tumeth is a lightweight can’t see him getting any where near 1st grade , really surprised that the club didn’t pay him out and open up another spot
Last contract season can't see him with the club beyond what did fatty Vautin used to say gone.Same size as Cameron Murray btw..without the speed and athletism or motor
Exercised his player option for this year.likely because of no market interest...but won't get many options to showcase his talent IMO
I remember that good game he had then Kaito I was thinking at the time probably with many others look at this finally he is going to produce his potential let's hope now he has expelled all his brainfarts and have a good season.Right centre maybe & Skelly wing. He had a cracking
game for maori vs indigenous on that side a few
years ago & had been given a look in by all accounts
I'm not against it, let's see what happens with Nado
We haven't had a player like Skelton since the days of Tuiaki and Lote...Tureva is a very good athlete.and smart..no superstar.but .Im confident he will be the best winger with had in some time, and will make a difference.
Skelton pretty much like the bloke he replaced.....cld be anything.....cld be nothing. But a good move by us,particularly in absence of alternative contenders in that price bracket, given were VERY heavily invested in halves
From memory he only played 40-60mins in that game, maybe that's the key because he usually only needs 5-10mins to ruin an otherwise okay performance...I remember that good game he had then Kaito I was thinking at the time probably with many others look at this finally he is going to produce his potential let's hope now he has expelled all his brainfarts and have a good season.
Man what a winger Tuiaki was absolute tank imagine him running at you your eyes would be like dinner plates. We haven't had a player like Skelton since the days of Tuiaki and Lote...
I watched that same match and thought to myself he's that classic Limbo player, often too good for reggies but can't maintain any form in first grade, stuck in-between.Looked great in ressies. There was a game last year where he kicked a 40/20 then went on to set up two tries to come from behind and seal a win. It was magnificent to watch. His next NRL game he had the brain snap right on half time and was sent to the bin. Does not seem to adapt to the pressure of the NRL.
Both him and Tumeth in the same position need to show something or on the way out.I watched that same match and thought to myself he's that classic Limbo player, often too good for reggies but can't maintain any form in first grade, stuck in-between.
I can certainly imagine him training the house down, he's fast enough, big enough and has some real hardwired footy brains. But also prone to enormous brain fades and lapses in concentration. Doubt at his age (just turned 29) Nado will be a mainstay of any decent Tigers side.
You would think so mate if they don't improve him, it will be like an old western he will fade into the sunset.I was thinking with 4 other ex Penrith boys in the Squad that should inspire Naden to be the best version of himself. Our halves should be creating lots of opportunities for the outside backs
Many props probably shouldn't. Hope it doesn't bite him and the club on the arse during the season.
I had high hopes for this guy when he first came over, looks good on paper, has displayed some very good skills at times but lack of concentration and brain snaps have been his downfall.I think everyone can agree that Naden has the talent. He has speed, skill, size and is pretty good defensively (better than all our other centres).
