It's the only moment in his career to date where he's done something remotely clutch, but even then Moses sealed the win. And the way he did it, was as a 5/8 in a something from nothing play. Game managing as a halfback is completely different. As evidenced by raiders panthers last year when penrith were beating canberra with 10 minutes left, he threw an intercept and lost them the game. Similarly, like luke brooks did in the past, kicked the ball into the in goal with 7 tackle set that changed the game and didn't do anything for the last 30 minutes to amend that. He's a long way away from being a great halfback and being a leader at this club

Mitchell Moses sealed the game though. It was a something out of nothing try too, not one that was planned or game management which is what he'll need as a halfback. Such as 40/20s, kicking for touch and slowing the game down, field goals, building constant pressure with forced dropouts. Surprisingly, all of these things are cleary's greatest strengths, which he'll need to tap into

Brooks has won more than a few games in clutch situations. Fans just use him as a scapegoat for losses

I think it’s easier for us to say Brooks has as tigers fans, it’s not like we sit and watch every panthers game the same way, at least not until Luai was announced to be joining our club.

stop moving the goalposts. you asked for a ‘clutch moment’ you got it.

on the biggest stage with the game firmly in the balance, Jarome Luai splits the defence open and sets up the try that delivers the breakthrough. that’s as clutch as you can get in my book. not something that’s ‘planned’ like a forced dropout.

by your reasoning we should be running Chad Townsend at halfback or someone else completely robotic with zero creativity.

either get on board and back the bloke or sit on the hill at Four Pines and cheer on your little mate Brooksy.

Aaron Woods should be the cautionary tale for all these younger players. Would have been a Tigers legend, instead retired a mercenary.

I see in your next post after you respond to mine, you stated
“Both Team achievements”
Which I agree with all games are won by the TEAM
Not by the MAIN player
No team has won a premiership because of one player it takes a team to ALL work together to be successful and if that happens the individuals in that team all look good.
IMO
At the moment the Bulldogs are a prime example of this, they haven’t got what you would call a strong squad (no MAIN half) but all their players are doing their jobs which brings results.
