Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It's an emotional reaction to a very poor result. One poor loss does not define a season and our trajectory up until yesterday has been good. Some hard decisions need to be made however and the first is replacing our 6.

A lot of people think it does define our season … Same old clown show …people here blame the media , but the club just makes it so damn easy for them

A loss against the Storm is not unexpected and hopefully the team can use this as motivation to perform better. We weren't competitive and that is the most disappointing aspect as we have been in most games this year. Decisive action from Marshall is required.

That 64-0 was as bad as anything I have seen over the three wooden spoon seasons … i thought they were past that ..i think it needs to be called out and not excused

Agreed. We need some good news, such as signings asap. I was disappointed when Staines was left to tackle a rampaging Storm forward head-on while his mate on the inside made no effort to assist. Was that a lack of effort, cohension or more?

Staines done some solid hit ups , tackled and played out of position , He gets another go next week

Richo needs to come out and give us some good news , we need min 3 solid first graders and if we can bring some of them now , we are still needing , Centre , Prop , Back row now , if May goes down we are in trouble ( Will Kennedy can he play centre leaving Bulla at the back )
Kennedy , KPP. Young , Sandon Smith just in case Latu is made of tissue

The fact is we have a best 16 + Seyfarth that can compete. Unfortunately on days like yesterday when we're down on troops we'll get smacked.
There's no point calling for changes, Kit's the only forward playing reggies who's shown anything.
It is what it is.

We have had an above average season so far. Been in with a shot for most games. The Storm game will allow the team to reflect and recalibrate and to be honest, I am expecting them to fire against the bunnies.

They have close to zero depth …

When the likes of Naden and Staines are picked, these replacement players are the weak link which is the focus of the opposition attack

Sayfarth tries hard but is dominated on both sides of the ball

100%. I was lucky enough to not subject myself to yesterday's game but looking at our 3, 4 and 5, it's not really NRL standard. AD isn't a centre and tbh I don't know what his position is. Naden and Staines shouldn't be playing first grade (I know we have injuries, but we'd be better blooding some youth if they're up to it). Let's face it, Twal and Seyfarth wouldn't be playing first grade in another NRL team and they're regular starters for us. The players listed need to be shown the door. Some rate Seyfarth and Twal, but I don't. They aren't first graders and although it may sound insulting, it's the truth. They all need to go and we need to buy better quality depth. I'd rather a team full of thugs that know how to win rather than good blokes that are average.

To be fair it was kinda funny his dads comment. People are reading way to much into it imo.
At the start of the year I would have taken 5-5 tbh. We do not have a high ceiling. If we are outside the bottom 4 that is actually a success and something we can build on.

Yep...

My thoughts are take a gamble on Latu being fit for the rest of the year. Probably unlikely but let's hope.

We have 28 in the top 30 now. So 2 vacancies.

Galvin straight swap for J'maine Hopgood.

Brown to the Knights & we take KPP straight away.

We sign Dom Young.

That's our top 30.

1. Bula
2. Turuva
3. Doueihi
4. Toa
5. Young/Skelton/L Luailli
6. L Fainu
7. Luai
8. May
9. Korosaui
10. Pole
11. Sa Fainu
12. Pearce-Paul
13. Hopgood
14. Da Silva
15. Twal
16. Si Fainu
17. Hunt
18. Seyfarth
19. Bird

If Latu gets injured move Api to 7 & Luai to 6. TDS starts at 9. Hopgood as a utility middle & plenty of middle depth.

Bird can be called up if required.

Adds depth where required. Injuries are killing us at the moment as well.

Need to them sign at least 2 good outside backs for next year, 1 starter & 1 good depth player.

I am still baffled by yesterday's score line. I completely understand that the storm are a far more developed team and organisation then the tigers ( Unfortunately ).
I just don't know what the club does moving forward. I see gaping holes in our roster with out talent to fill them. I see a player market about to be stretched like 50 yr old weekend Lycra.
I see players laughing after an absolute thrashing. I have seen more stress and disappointment on coles workers when my tea bags are out of stock.
Like everyone here I have been enjoying this year and having a 50/50 win rate has been refreshing. But after all these years to still have that sort of result in the best roster we have had for atleast a decade is so deflating as a fan.
That score line just highlighted the huge issues at the club. Bellyache tore our team apart like a surgeon and the players had zero reply.
pointless post and pointless rant. Just like memberships and energy given to the club.

We are in desperate need of an another alpha prop with experience & voice in the James Fisher-Harris mould. Terrell May leads with his effort but we need someone who can stare down an opponent, puts fear in the opposition & can produce big PCMs at will.

At the moment Pole should be our 1st bench rotation until he further develops his game & experience.

Who could this be that could fall out of the tree?
