Fwiw Luai getting hooked in the 2023 grand final, moving Cleary to 6 and playing Cogger at 7 totally shifted that match and won it for Penrith.

Problem is with most of this younger brigade they dont like fighting to get there spot. We sign him you can guarantee there will be a few that want out. He would improve the side instantly but for how much and we have Latu on $$$ . I personally think that's why our signings take a lot more thought especially with our club . Gain one loss another it's a matter of balance but it's a lit more of a gamble these days. Example Api and Di silva . I would keep Api 💯 but there are experts a lot smarter than me say the opposite.

Disagree on Bula and Mason. Mason is a gun. Wait and see . Makasini and Luke Luuali are as well. Mid term I can see Adam leaving , giving us one surplus to cover injuries . Backs are in a good spot. I hope we don’t make backline signings .

Gagai has been holding that team together as much as possible. Always has a go not shy abusing non performers. Fit as.

My memory of it was Luai played with a busted shoulder. While everybody like to anoint Cleary for the change in Penrith fortunes, it had a lot to do with a massive possession swing.
