Brown might not be that far off if he’s used correctly. He’s a running 6. But it looks like he’s going to be an organising 7. Which will be a brutal failure.

I'd take Fifita, on his day he can be a weapon, he is a big unit, which we would love to have some more size in the pack...

Loves playing on the left edge. Then we can move Samuela to the middle. Solves two issues

Who would he be behind? He's more proven than Latu. And Latu's versatility makes him a really useful 14/Lock/backup spine player

13 Latu 12 KPP 11 Fifita 10 Pole 9 Api 8 May (middle forward rotations - Sam & Sione Fainu with Seyfarth or Twal & then a Bird or Mason or TDS as 14).

Interesting take, looks like Wishart is ahead of him at the storm whenever Hughes or Munster are out. I do rate Pezet very highly, however I don't know if I would automatically assume he would take a starting spot over Latu, the kid could catch fire for the remainder of this year. Also, if we compare injuries Pezet was recently out for a very long time with an ACL. Pezet would probably see a clearer path the first grade at a host of other clubs before us.

Only the last 12 months, prior to that Galvin was playing second fiddle to Latu throughout reps and schoolboys.

I know. We've just got to trust Benji's judgement on this.

Latu is not much of a talker on-field yet from what I gather nor does he possess a strong long kicking game (unless he's yet to be given a license to use it).

And with his strength in contact, usually very good tackling technique and quality passing game, Benji may just see a transformational lock in him!

I don't believe that. Everytime Benji talks about Latu he mentions that he's a freak and the long term half. Same with Luai when ever he has spoken about Latu in the media. Even recent articles after Galvin left jurnos were mentioning that Benji believes he can be the long term 6.

The rumour started because of an opinion Caryannis gave, not because of anything Benji has actually said...

I think the whole discussion around Latu at 13 came about because Benji wanted him in the first grade team and we had 2 halves in place already. The last game against the panthers was probably more about easing him back into first grade (maybe a minutes restriction) and you are not going to replace one of your halves so the most obvious place is stick him at 13 so he can basically play like a 7 through the middle. The journos have probably assumed because of this that Benji wants him as a 13 or utility however it was likely only done out of necessity.
