I’m convinced we can become a top 4 team with Fainu and Luai as our starting halves, but only if we put better players around them than what we currently have.
We desperately need an injection of attacking x-factor and there are players who offer that available if we want them.
Otherwise we can just continue what we are doing.

To'a is becoming X Factor. That guy looks impossible to stop at times. As great as May, Bula and Api have been this year, Starford has been right with them.
Bula has X factor in him but he doesnt show the urgency that a true superstar has. He regularly beats the first contact or at least is in a position to promote the ball before being cleaned up. I dont know how to light a fire under him...he is obviously fit, obviously mentally reslient, has obvious talent. His positioning is getting better. We unlock the final ingredient and he'll be one of the biggest stars in the comp.
Fainu and Luai both have it as well, as does Api. When they all click, we will blow teams off the field.
We need some great defensive players who will stop us having to be constantly chasing down large scorelines.

I give them little chance against Manly …Manly have been embarrassed last start and had two weeks to prepare for a game at home where they are a much better side …

The spoon race could come down to the two games against the Titans… the last one in the final round … start praying it’s not another spoon bowl and Benji tells them to go out and have some fun…

i think manly is our easiest shot , we almost beat penrith despite having an off year we know their resume and Raiders , in form team of the comp. manly are under pressure and dropped half their side to Reggie’s plus no Hamoule . i give us a chance IF benji pulls his head in and starts latu . latu will want a good game against manly .

Its him now + another 30 odd games + 2 pre seasons all under the tutalege of one of the top 3 No.9's in the comp currently and a coach who focuses on attack.
Its something to be excited about.

16 tackles all with intent & aggression. He's always been highly regarded through juniors for his attacking ability, but his defence is outstanding for a young player.

Latu can play, we all knew that prior to last night, but he did show he looks very comfortable in the halves except his kicking game needs plenty of improvement.
However he and Jerome in the halves still need plenty more attacking threat and x-factor around them to help turn us into a genuine top 8 team.
If we as a club cannot see that we will continue on this lovely journey we have been on for the past 15 years.

They’re playing equal amount of mins and he’s scored 6 try’s and made 4 line breaks this year. And got himself a new 3 year contact. He’s doing pretty well for himself.

Maybe the future inclusion of Latu in the team will create opportunities for Bula (and others).

It will no doubt help, there was evidence of that last night when Bula went close to scoring.
Is it enough without a few more attacking threats in our team, that’s my question ?

We have Haywood coming through as a rated hooker [but I haven't seen why the big wraps?]
What I did see was when Haywood went to the half position , Josese Lanyon came on as hooker and scored 3 tries.
