Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Was just about to say the same thing. He would be my preference. Can do 25 minutes at hooker but also is big enough to play in the middle. He carved us up one game when he was at Souths. I’ve watched him for years. He never gets as much praise as he deserves.
Hes 32 !
Same age as Api
Weve seen the best of both...and only one is worth persevering with

Jack de Belin is set to leave the Dragons at season’s end and join Parramatta.

The 34-year-old has agreed to a deal with the Eels for 2026, with a club option for 2027. It’s now in the NRL’s 10-day cooling-off period.

De Belin is just 31 games shy of becoming the most-capped Dragon in history.

I've not happened across Adults discussing Unicorns or the Tooth Fairy and other such Fantasy...
But if I ever do,
I'll keep an ear out for the Discussions on Signing a bloke who hasn't played 1 game for the
best part of a decade and weigh up the rationale then.
Yawn.

Bronson Xerri recently did a stretch of 4 years without a game.

Manase would be a gap of 8, from a similarly young age.

So, at the very least, we've seen that it is possible for a young player to sit out of the game for several years and return successfully.

The only question remains, how many years is too many? Perhaps 8 is. Given his young age at the time he played his last, potentially 8 isn't too long.

It's plausible. It's possible. It's worthy of discussion.

Long bow to draw for a similarity…
Bit different being able to do everything but play the game
- to being in Jail I would have thought?

Edit - I like how it’s overlooked that he stabbed someone…
All the highround heros here, I’d have thought that might come up.

Definitely a psychological affect would come with being locked up for so long. Doubt a club is going to come calling with a contract or even T&T as soon as he comes out. Dude has to get his life back together and learn how to be apart of society again.

His manager (or currently manager-in-waiting) is Mario Tartak, same as TDS. I'm sure Mario is telling Manase to stay fit & strong as a Wests Magpies contract is waiting in '27. Then if his form & fitness warrants, a T&T and so on.

TDS to follow Galvin to the Bulldogs it seems.

I don’t care what anyone says but this is the wrong decision to let this kid walk.
We have the hand in this deal, there’s no way in the world I let him go to that club. He can rot in reserve grade, he has another year to go on his contract.
Seriously does every player have to kiss bunji’s ass for them ti stay at the tigers?

That’s irrelevant. It’s all politics. He has a media machine behind him, pushing his barrow. It’s naive to think he isn’t going to have success, especially playing in a top team.
Galvin will have success from team achievements if he doesn't rock the boat and moves to another club.

But from an individual perspective I think he won't be a standout, not enough pace or power at the moment unless he can put on 10kg of muscle to me he looks to be a link man, a good team player.

If he wants to look the part, he needs to change that dopey haircut, cringe.
