Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Adam Doueihi is staying put after informing St George Illawarra that he plans to accept a revised two-year deal from the Wests Tigers.
Doueihi never wanted to leave the Tigers but he was dangerously close to parting ways with the club after they tabled an initial one year extension and the Dragons weighed in with an extra year,

However, the Tigers came back to the table with a revised offer after Doueihiu starred for the club in their win over the Bulldogs at the weekend.

It is understood the Tigers deal is close to $400,000 a season, short of the Dragons’ bid but enough to convince Doueihi to spurn the Dragons’ offer to secure his signature.

Internal upgrades.

Peter Taateo [Dev]
Kmaps
Izaac Tu'tupou
Rampage Rahme
If we can keep Taateo and Rahme on development deals we are doing well, both are under rated and will continue to improve.
Tu’itupou gives us a big strong yardage eater back up for Skelton which is not a bad idea. Keeping him motivated at this late stage of his career could be an issue.
I’m not convinced on KMaps, he’s big, strong and athletic so he looks the part, but hasn’t really shown a willingness to use his size and athleticism by running the ball hard with purpose and he’s had some ordinary defensive efforts. I would only offer him a development deal.

We've got 5 players on development deals for 2026

Lachlan B
Phoenix G
Jared H
Christian Taupau-Moors
Charlie Murray

Believe only 6 positions are available for development players

Hmmm that is not an overly good looking list as the 3 youngsters are unlikely to be NRL ready next season and Lachlan B and Charlie Murray don’t do much for the excitement levels.
Hopefully they can offload Lachlan B and Charlie Murray to allow space for players such as Peter Tasteo, Jaxson Rahme and one other which could potentially be someone like Max Taotua.

The other 3 halves from this years u/19’s SOO being Ben Black at the Broncos, Toby Rodwell at the Roosters and Michell Woods at the Bulldogs are all top 30 contracted from 2026 onwards, so I very much doubt Javon Andrew’s would have signed with us unless we have him top 30 contracted from 2026 onwards.
Javon Andrews is a top 30 contract, 2026 - 2028

Richo doing Richo things. Few on here wanted to chuck a Pascoe and lob him marquee money.
