This would only be to cover if Api is injured...not a week to week proposition. You will always have a few weak spots in a roster. Both in terms of timing i.e. young guns you don't want to lose/block however maybe 12 months away from first grade, or cap restrictions. Teams with top 3-4 hookers don't always have quality first grade ready back-ups as all the money is pumped into the starting 9, unless you are the Storm.

I feel the choice is either DEPTH or TALENT.

As you say, you can't have 4 top quality hookers in your side and be cap competitive. You just can't no matter what Jason Taylor thinks.

Punting TDS was 100% right.

Depth you only need this:
2 forwards..
1 back that can do wing/center and maybe fullback.
1 halves partner that can stretch to halfback.

Anything more then this is wasted cap space. Which is the point, when you offer 250k or more for a Depth signing you take 100k from the talent you sign. Dragons get it, Jack Bird is an Ok center/5-8, but they would rather have Val Holmes and upgrade the spot.

Richo needs to go buy some ladies for our nrlw team , they can’t compete for full game probably compete for 30 max, and I would say a new coach would not hurt , Kimmorley has had a go time to move on

Kimmorely did a good job the previous year but they have lost some excellent players including centre Rikyah Horne due to twins. Hopefully a few acquisitions will make a difference.

Reckon Perth will have strong TPAs with all the mining money over there. If they can tap into that they'll be sweet.

It's a great place to live over here but I have no faith in Meninga being a coach. Even the board looks political.

Tino is contracted to the Gold Coast Titans until the end of 2033 on a 10-year deal worth $1.2 million per season.
But he has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave at the end of 2027. It means he's free to negotiate with rival NRL clubs on November 1 this year,

In the same game where AD gets a heap of praise, he lands 2 tries and really had a decent game.
Look he has points to work on and he isn't a tall winger, which may be what people are getting hung up on. IMHO he has been crossing the line and isn't the team problem.

Moreover he has some beef to him. We need strength and defense on our edges. It goes to show when we loose badly, it's because we get carved up in the middle... not our edges as much anymore.

That said, no reason why Staines/Skelton and even Turuva can't fight it out.

He clearly won’t be at Titans next year and there’s been little talk about where he is ending up

If he was worth that the Titans would be going alot better - talented squad camped at the bottom of the table. A firm believer that you need more than one player to make a good squad but unless they get salary cap exemption as a start up - that smells of desperation.

I think the money will come to them as the club becomes more profitable. We have consistently seen positions created since Richo started and only recently Charmain Steventon appointed Head of Women's Football.

It is good that she began when the NRLW season started, which coincidentally is Noddy's last contracted season as NRLW coach.

I am sure positions have been removed too but those are not really publicised unless it serves the club 😆

Interesting that the Tino doesn’t keep getting asked about his clauses the way Luai does.

To be fair, the Perth Bears have a greater chance of winning a premiership in the next decade than the Titans do.

Perth will get leg ups galore and make the finals within the first couple years imo
