Good point, Bob. I'd like him to get the balance of quality & quantity right.Insightful post V. One question though - Do you think Terrel as a player with high physicality? I am not sure. At the moment, I think it is more activity than action.
Thats my fear and in another 12 months another team enters the market making recruitment even harder...especially for teams like us a.non desirable destination...same thing the year after.Dragons are losing DeBelin and Klemmer is unsigned.
Aloiai is leaving Manly
There's no decent middles on the market, none in our reserves...
I think we're buckleys of getting anyone of note any time in the next 12 months.
Agree both have potential but it is a big off season for a lot of players like Murray.Josese Lanyon is 22y.o next season, it’s not too early for him to step up to NRL if he trains hard enough and earns a spot.
Similarly Charlie Murray will be 25y.o next season, he’s certainly old enough if good enough.
At Penrith Luai had Fisher-Harris and Yeo keeping him in check with us he has been given a license to play what he sees front of him by Benji which can work when everybody i on the same page.I don’t think we will get that from him as he believes he’s earned the right to play in a dinner suit.
His defence has been very good, it’s clear to see he is trying to lead and motivate the team with his voice during games and he has no doubt improved his attack with better combinations and link play on our left edge as the season progressed.
My big issue with him is his kicking game has been average at best and his 5th tackle options have been very poor.
Whether we are happy with his form or not we are now all in with him as the core playing group are his close mates, so it would no doubt cause much unwanted unrest within the team if we decided we wanted to go in a different direction.
Obviously we need leaders and high profile players, the question is if we are spending 3.8 - 3.9 million dollars per season of our salary cap on 4 players being Jerome, Jahream, Api and Terrell, are they collectively good enough and worthy of taking up that much of our salary cap between them ?
I’ve noticed some of our supporters on here bagging the quality of Murray during his limited NRL game time with us.Agree both have potential but it is a big off season for a lot of players like Murray.
I feel like chicken tonight.Chan Kum Tong?
Again he needs an asterisk beside his namehasn’t got a contract for next year according to ZT lol
Thanks Hank. Noice. 👏👏👏I feel like chicken tonight.

Based on the score line wondering what these Raiders reserve forwards were like in defence? They might fit right inA couple of the raiders reserve grade forwards have come on today in the NRL and in 15 minutes shown more than Sukkar, Seyfarth, Twal did all season in attack
Moale is still on the marketPeople say there isn't enough quality middles on the open market and I agree. However, warriors whole reserve grade middles, trey Mooney and Davvy Moale are all better then our whole bench and Twal, yet we have probably missed out on all of them....
We leak points worse than a boat with holes in it leaks water, yet you are saying the likes of Bunty Afoa who has been a reserve grader for the vast majority of his career and Trey Mooney who today showed why his defence is not yet at an an acceptable NRL standard, will improve us ?People say there isn't enough quality middles on the open market and I agree. However, warriors whole reserve grade middles, trey Mooney and Davvy Moale are all better then our whole bench and Twal, yet we have probably missed out on all of them....
Apart from his poor defence, Pole makes some very bad mistakes. Just in the last 3 weeks;Probably not allowed to do this nowadays but I'd want to sign half a dozen recently retired front rowers to a 6 week train and trial. They then spend 6 weeks taking turns running at Pole. I assume we have a tackling/wrestling coach employed that can make minor adjustments to his technique over this 6 weeks.
Pole doesn't seem to lack a willingness to tackle, more so he just lacks execution. It has been the case since he debuted, which woud be fine except that it hasn't improved.
His physical attributes and willingness, he should be our best middle. Unfortunately outside of the odd good game he is usually one of our worst.
I want a hooker who is quick off the mark on the bench that can give Api a rest and scoot from dummy half against fatigued players, a younger version of Liddle or Cook. If they have a kicking game, even better. We really need to go the market for a hooker or rush Haywood through to first grade
That was TDS.I want a hooker who is quick off the mark on the bench that can give Api a rest and scoot from dummy half against fatigued players, a younger version of Liddle or Cook. If they have a kicking game, even better.
