Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The deal was $800k if his option(which means he will be shopped around and found nothing better)...or $900k if club option
Thats Isaac Moses best work(which is a whole seperate problem)...he got less for Galvin at Dogs!Allegedly..
arent sure whether Bula is worth anywhere near these $$.. athletism and potential. needs to be translated into game changing actual performance
ATM hes fairly paid at $700k..needs to get more involved and improve his defence
Think he will be snapped up by Dogs for $500k and a share in a Laundy hotel!!
Isaac didn't negotiate this contract. It's been reported that if Bula or us take up that last year option then Moses gets nothing out of it. It's in Isaac's best interest for Bula not to have the option taken up

If Bula doesn't want to be here then let him go.. I think Benji has the right philosophy in saying he only wants players who want to be here...

In saying that, Bula has said his preference is to stay here . No other team is going to offer him 800k a year or more.. I think we are safe, even if Moses is involved

…Talau is winger depth on a minimum deal to replace Staines … how many NRL games did Staines play this year ? 4-5 ?

Not every player in the Top 30 can be a superstar …

They still have to sign a middle on reasonable coin…maybe a back up hooker as well
Staines played 7, Naden 8, faatape 2, tuitupo 1 - so thats 18 games that need replacing

I mentioned in here before if they are not willing to publish the salary of each player I would like a club total of the amount each club spent for the year including TPA's for each grade

Would be interesting to know that the 16 million Broncos beat the 12 million Tigers

But then the illusion of a fair competition would unravel
They did in 2018. Storm had about a mil, Broncos 800k and very few others over 200k. Undoubtedly the overall numbers have grown since then, and Storm are probably no longer at the top given the players they had then but I doubt there is as big a discrepancy in legal 3rd party deals as people think.

Yes but Douehi moved out of the outside backs when May arrived

At the moment we only have 3 unproven juniors behind our starting back 5 in Makasini, Laulii and Mason.

We need at least 1 more outside back prob 2

I’m the one arguing to sign Tommy Talau ..so I agree with you …he is adequate to play half a dozen games and most importantly..cheap and currently available

They got three Top 30 left …so I wouldn’t be spending two of those on outside backs …

one will miss out between Skelton, Makasini and Toa when everyone is fit …so that’s the first reserve …

Then I’m proposing either Talau at wing or even AD back to Center if desperate …

After that you are into the Development guys or Luke L…

That will be enough

It's been said...and widely reported... thousands of times, yet people still can't grasp Bulas deal. You will be repeating yourself multiple times throughout 2026 I'm afraid.

Bula will stay. Very confident of this 🙂

Anyone know if tiny has ever had a run at fullback, if he did how was he? He has explosive speed and can break a tackle. His defensive reads at centre seem good, everyone says centre is the hardest position to defend at. Just curious if Bula does go, could Tiny slot in?
