That would be a very “brave” call…lol
The deal was $800k if his option(which means he will be shopped around and found nothing better)...or $900k if club option
Thats Isaac Moses best work(which is a whole seperate problem)...he got less for Galvin at Dogs!Allegedly..
arent sure whether Bula is worth anywhere near these $$.. athletism and potential. needs to be translated into game changing actual performance
ATM hes fairly paid at $700k..needs to get more involved and improve his defence
Think he will be snapped up by Dogs for $500k and a share in a Laundy hotel!!

So sign him to a new deal before the option kicks in ….

I doubt he takes $700k a year though …maybe $800k x 3….

If WE take it up..its $900k for x years..hes not worth that.$800 cld work, but hed have to over rule his manager
As weve learnt many times, dealing with Moses is challenging..its almost (but not quite!)worth paying the extra to avoid the inevitable bunfight
We need a back up plan..but its not an 18 yo reject

Hearing whispers the tigers may not take up the option to renew the contract of Jahream Bula when the time comes and are looking to Target 18 year old Adaquix Luke, son of Issac Luke. Young Fullback playing in Brisbane. Most recently was signed with the Dolphins but contract ends this year.
Close friends with Javon Andrews.

Think Bula goes nowhere but wouldn't be so bad having a up and comer, back up, fullback....?

The option is for one year …2027 …

They can make a new deal prior if both parties agree… obviously it would require a longer commitment which he might prefer …Richo strongly indicated he wants to keep him here so I’m expecting the club take up the option if they need too…

The option arrangement was done by Bula’s previous manager, Liam Ayoub. When Liam Ayoub became the Bulldogs recruitment manager, Bula went to Isaac Moses.

It would be in Isaac Moses’ interest to do a new deal for Bula (i.e. not the option) to get commission. Moses would not be entitled to any commission if Bula or the tigers take up their options.

Bula’s former manager being at the Bulldogs is a potential risk for us in retaining Bula. Time will tell.

Agree...
Not sure its in Moses nature to be cooperative with WTs.even if thats what his client prefers..
Have considerable trust in Richo to optimise the outcome,so gotta leave him to do his stuff I guess

I reckon your whispers are miles off. That kid struggles to lock down a fullback spot in under 17s.

Thnks for that...didnt realise the history
Moses remains a big issue...u can only believe that Tracey isnt in Goulds long term plans...but Bula probably is
Need to close this one sooner rather than later,or gonna be drawn out and problematic with Moses involved
If the kids interested,Im sure Richo will get something done..at a fair price

Just ask him what would Jesus do?

Or would he rather go the way of Judas and betray his brothers for riches?

We're in big trouble then. Basically going to need a whole new team.

Imagine signing Turuva, Taylan May, Luai and Skelton and not being happy.

I'll let the forum recruitment experts work out who the right players are because clearly the club have no idea how to sign guys with "elusive zip".

I didn't think our biggest issue was scoring points though. Defensively, we copped too many 24+ games that we were right in with a shot of winning.

From the Bulldogs game, we won 2 from 5 where our style looked much better. We were run down in 2 of those games with big leads. We also lost to Souths because Galvin drops it over the line. We were run down by the Warriors 26-24. There's 4 very winnable games lost which puts us on 32 points. Round 1 also run down by Newcastle up 8 nil to lose 10-8. There's 5 ganes we could have won.

We are not playing for 80 minutes and cannot close out games when we are in the lead because of defence.
We can’t attack either unless the opponent stuffs up.
Do you sleep walk through our games?
