I think Richo tells a few porkies for smokescreen purposes around player signings he said that before Bunty, be it he was a budget but hopefully useful signing.

There're 2 spots left my gut is telling me there's one outside recruit on the way, hopefully not all will be filled from within.

Good questions Ink! He may well be regretting his decision and putting on a brave face. His happiness might depend on how many more dollars he is being paid too!

MTD over it the for and against on TDS only because not all the facts have been laid out, what you are mentioning is only part of the problem. Yes his agent did push for the immediate release not TDS or his family. Good luck to him and hope it all works out for him,but the Tigers have moved on to hopefully bigger and better results.

Haha the day I get triggered by what GNR4LIFE has to say is the day I give the forum away.. I also don't know if you're a bloke, lass, bot or LGs dad..

I suggest you probe a little deeper into why he really left the club, it might change your view on loverboy (pun intended)

TDS and Galvin are future NSW and Kangaroos superstars. The tigers should have spent 45% of their cap on those two alone. They are going to be THAT GOOD that the tigers could have fielded the Balmain Ryde Eastwood team in the remaining 15 spots and still won the NRL grand final by 30 points. We are a disgrace of a club. We should be upgrading godinet and Haywood to full-time $1.5mill per year contracts effective immediately, but ofcourse that inexperienced CEO of ours who's never had any success anywhere is to inept to make such a strategic decision....

He wanted to stay and be the No 1 hooker longer term …but they preferred to keep Api and they told him he was free to go elsewhere in the meantime

If that didn’t happen then he dosnt even get the chance to get an offer from Parramatta in the first place

Jeez mate, I don't know for sure but TDS would have known for a while that he was not going to surpass Api for some time yet, I mean the love Benji & Richo have for Api is there for all to see.

Certainly would have been something that Mario Tartak would have been pretty well aware of and at one stage I think he came out and was stating that there was something like 5 clubs interests in the services of TDS.

So what do player managers do, they go looking for the best deals for their clients because as we all know, a part from that being part of their job they are also not averse to claiming a cut from a bigger contract, and knowing what the Wests Tigers record of enforcing contracts was like it was always likely that a parting of ways could be on the cards.

Add to this the constant noise of Galvin being in TDS' ear telling him what a shit club Wests Tigers are and what a shit coach Benji is, so when a juicy offer is made that is well beyond what West Tigers are currently paying you would be a fool not to at least consider it.

Of course we all know that what Parramatta were offering was way more than Wests Tigers were willing to pay now or probably in the forseeable future, and as previously stated we also know what our record looks like when it comes to enforcing contracts, it was always probable that TDS would be given a release.

Although I would have liked TDS to have stayed, I think Richo must have something up his sleeve (at least I hope so) and has probably done the right thing by TDS in letting him go to secure a richer contract.
