Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Turuva to fullback .
Wait for the Maltese lad to be ready to take his place.
Bula's never going to have the involvement in a game that the team needs.
Spend the extra money on a backrower to support KPP and Samuela.
We must never be in a situation where we need to call on an edge forward like Sukkar who spent all last year doing everything he could to avoid touching the ball.
Turuva should stay on the wing. You don't weaken one position to strengthen another, and it's debatable he is a better fullback then Bula in any case. Bula will be one of our most improved players in 2026, mark my words.

Hopefully the sprint training hes been doing gives him that little bit extra he just couldnt find so often, how many times was he 3/4 way thru a gap?

Jesse Colquhoun is a great young player, but has had a few injuries to start his career, seemed to go ok last year.
I like Curran, dogs got exposed this year for being too small upfront, think he goes better with us good, mobility and covers any of the front 5.
We have a huge question mark over Pole, last season was bad, previous season good. What will 26 bring? If Pole is only playing on here to repay debt to WT (wasn't that what he said last season) and his heart is back in Melbourne, Curran would be a good replacement, but timing is key. Not sure we will know with Pole before Curran wants to sign somewhere.

Doesn’t need to be either or. Just add him in. We need competition for spots. Which in itself could bring the best out in Pole

I agree, Pole looked disinterested pretty much all year.

Jesse Colquin from the sharks testing the waters

Josh Curran apparently lookin around

Bula deal hopefully announced soon apparently all sorted
Apparently all sorted according to whom?
Colquhoun would be a great signing, assuming he can get his body right (which I back him to sooner rather than later).
Curran would be very handy but I don't see him wanting to be here. Even after signing with Dogs because no-one else came close to matching their offer he was still kicking stones about not finding a contract at a stronger club.

Kade7 mentioned it yesterday....i think his info is usually pretty good

Yes Shaun Mielenkamp is a much younger,, much more honest and a much better value for money CEO than what Richo was, so we have obtained a great outcome with Richo leaving.
However it’s an absolute disgrace a CEO is receiving a 1.5 million dollar payout, he knew what he was doing and only joined us to top up his super annuation.
Great character assignation mate. You must be so proud

He is not squeaky clean in this whole matter, I cannot believe how many people cannot see it.
He is spoken about as if he’s a god on here for some reason.
Apart from financially, he did a pretty average job here for mine and if it’s true he was double dipping or ripping us off to boot then I’m glad he’s gone.

For us atm i think Bula is a must keep, purely because we need a win after all this garbage the HBG caused and despite a few short comings is pretty talented at the back he's just an athlete.
Now having said that he's a must keep, he isn't a keep at all costs there's a reason we didnt activate his clause and no one else picked him up at the quoted prices. He just isn't worth that yet... Not to say he won't be one day just isnt now.
Hopefully we've hashed something out suitable to both parties i find it hard to believe it's done because Richo would have been driving things he isnt here now i dont think SM can pick up from where Richo left off that quickly, kudos if he did however.

Put up the proof so you can sway us. I ll be the first to apologise to you if you do. But to Lay claims without proof you will only have people like me standing up for Richo. I would do the same for anyone who can't defend themselves.

If he has a contract and HBG breaks it why would he not be paid adults getting into contracts have lawyers and legal advice it's not like it's to two 15 year old kids
