Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

No of course not, but I’m not pining for a guy who has left and creating the narrative that he was going to get it done either.
This other guy has to be successful.
Just about all out of hope Tuck unless HBG sells up or the Debenture board structure is abolished.

Over the years it's just one disappointment after another, F hell hand me a tissue.

That’s not the point. He wanted to retain several players and lost them. He also lost others whilst still under contract.
Despite any losses, they were replaced with upgrades. That's good work in my opinion.

All clubs lose players...clubs even lose players to us.

We only lost overvalued and/or underperforming players. I put Galvin, Da Silva and Stefano in the overvalued camp.

The squad that has been assembled is very good compared to when he started.

I really think Bula is underrated here.

But anyway, I'm far too used to this clubs failures - so haven't been sweating the result of this latest 'saga'.

If he goes, so be it. We have some make-shift options who won't be anywhere near as good, but won't be terrible - I suppose.

I’m not struggling to understand the rationale or his stats. He did alright -
  • 22 games
  • 12 tries
  • 181 running metres
Had he not suffered an abdominal injury, he was on track to finish inside the top five of the Dally M leaderboard. Pretty good for a $500k fullback.

I stated in my initial post that if Bula leaves, Connor would be someone that I’d target.
A fit Tracey rite now is at least as good as Bula..but Bula has a higher ceiling..potentially
..which we may never see at WTs

Liddle was better then TDS injuries have really screwed us

I'm not thinking that far ahead tbh I just want to see his journey starting with earning his place in the team it's entirely possible he's not in the starting team come round 2
Id say its highly unlikely hes in the team.if all the backs are fit...long odds

As.for fullback its unnecessary Bulas here for 26 plus its a big ask for a teenager with one game under his belt to be organising the defense

Let him focus and develop in his preferred pos

In saying that you have to do what's best for the team if he gets his start on the wing so be it

You could probably put Turuva back there and get the same output. Realistically neither are improving us
That’s not true ! The uptick in performance when Turuva was replaced by Bula at the backend of last season was for all to see . The main issue with Bula , as a few smarter people on here have referred to , is whether you like him or not , he was through the teething issues and maturation of the first 50 games , and on his way to becoming whatever best version of himself . Whether you like that or not .
Even if you do believe that there are better fullbacks out there nearly , outside of say Kennedy or Tracey , will need to go into that first 50 game headache watching them mature .
Otherwise there’s nothing on the market that I would say the juice is worth the squeeze with over 50 games at nrl level at fullback .
