Thought it was strange that souffs would announce they have submitted a contract with the NRL... Still the cooling off period to go, meaning he can still take offers from the Broncos.... If tigers had of done this, they would have been blasted in the media...

Haas can waive the 10 day cooling of period but Brisbane have to agree to that and you would think there is no way that Broncos would forego the chance to make some counter offers and someone has already mentioned that they have already put a 5 year deal on the table.

I'd say Haas is as good as gone but very cocky of Souffs to assume that it is all over.

I think it's more that Souths are more than happy to let him backdoor it to 360 anytime he likes. all of their personnel are based in Sydney too.

Because to pry the elite players (or any player) away from the top 4-5 sides you need to pay overs: paying overs with a limited cap means your depth suffers. they want to win a premiership.
