Why move him from a position where he still plays international football in?
The guy can be an elite 5/8. Why we want to play him anywhere but there is hard to understand.

I don't know in what world 182cm is considered a giant. In any case even if he's on the small side he was very good for Balmain. Busy and evasive. Reminded me a bit of Isaiah papalii

I think you proved my point about lake of backline depth.

A 19 yr old who was horrible in defence in his only couple of games and has signed for Perth, a flegg backrower, our half back and a guy who will be playing for Leeds is the backline depth.

We have 3 open spots when Bird goes, 2 of them need to be outside backs

A lake is depth, I think the depth in reality is a bit more shallow.

If I was to balance the team today, I'd go edge forward, hooker and Mr fixit back 1-5 like a Connor Tracey/Corey Thompson style.

I dont know mate, we signed Roberts and Geyer as edge backrow depth to join Sukkar and Seyfarth. Not sure we need to buy more depth there. You could argue the quality I guess, but they are signed now for that role.

Also, I think eith Mason and Doueihi we have that mr fix it sorted.

I jokingly mentioned Staines earlier but I was serious. I would have definitely kept him if he wanted to stay. He had one poor game last year, other than that he put in every opportunity he got. He was very good depth.

Probably another off season needed but he also played wing and centre over at Penrith because he was third/fourth choice over there

I think Penriths number 1 junior fullback is playing in the trials this weekend

They must have scouts everywhere and are much smarter at recognising talent sooner than some clubs, do they put us to shame, the answer may produce a sigh from us.

He hasn't played first grade yet so what's the issue ? He may not do anything at all.

I just didn't see it with Staines. Had high hopes when we signed him. He was full of effort, but I question his footy IQ. Felt like he was perpetually out of position on both sides of the ball.

I think we have a fair team this year , if players can play to their strengths we should be pretty competitive ,
API - Luai - May - May - KPP - Tito - AD - Sam F - Bulla ( solid players )
Sione - Skelton - Pole - Bunty - Hunt - ( again solid )
It’s our reserve grade area that really needs to step up , if this happens it puts pressure on all players to perform , with some of the new guys like Roberts - Geyer - Madden - this could be a fairly positive year in both nrl and reserve grade , both lots should be heading to the semi finals
