Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

You can't blame this all on the manager. Lomax is complicit in this. Sure the manager could be saying he'll sort it but it is not as if Lomax was unaware he was contracted. If as you say his manager has then actively seeked out the Storm and no others. Why do you think that is? Surely because that is where his client has expressed he wants to play.

His Manager is the primary cause of this.
I didn’t say that Lomax, Eels or Storm don’t have an element of guilt in this but a larger portion of it has been caused by his Managers actions.

But the manager works at the behest of the player. If Lomax isn't instructing him to engage with 360 and Storm then he wouldn't be. The buck stops with Lomax not his manager.

We can only really hypothesise on who said what, but I think his manager has a lot to answer for in this case.

Players are always deferring questions by saying it's their manager's job to sort contracts, and while both look like idiots now, I'd weigh the blame heavier on the manager's side.

As for the outcome, well we all know how these things tend to turn out in favour of the player somehow. Leaving the tigers, anyway....

I'm no Dr Astronaut Lawyer, but legally, morally, my view is tough shit Lomax.

I'm sure that any player would take coin over club. NRL careers are short and often cut short through injuries. Even Terrell said "R360 money would be too good to refuse"

Every NRL players phone conversation with their manager -

NOT, Lomax with all knowledge broke an excysting contract.
To break that contract he agreed not to play in the NRL for 3 years
He also agreed to a playing contract with them and that didn't seem to be worth much.

Is the lesson here that contracts don't really mean anything?

I'm just a punk with a keyboard. How wiuld I know.
