Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If we made him a fair offer and Moses is sitting on it waiting for more let him wait

If it's true that we made two offers a two year and four year the Tigers can not bend you can not bend the salary cap out of shape for him

Maybe the Tigers are calling Moses bluff

Even if the back 5 is in 27

Tino
Makisini
May
To'a
Skeleton

Offer Makisini an upgrade and extension with Bulas money
I'm beginning to gell to Tino in the fullback roll.
He was very fast to get to those bombs, is tall, has fullback experience and catching bombs.
A smokey for that job. Needs to have a contract upgrade IMO.

Protected species.
NRL is pathetic led by the hoax Valandys. Always looking after the top teams.
He hit him in the head with his shoulder with force, where is the doubt here???
It was obvious to me that after Makasi beat him three times previously that the chin was butthurt. Then decided to get him back and tried to smash him, pathetic dweeb! Got it wrong and deserved the suspension, I wouldn’t be surprised if Valandys called the panel prior.
That shot of Cleary on Maka will get plenty of replays at the judiciary this year.
Head hunting season is on!

Barnett is 31 and has been had some injury issues, I wouldn't go near him.
I was about to say the same thing.
He is turning 32 this year, will be turning 33 in 2027.
He wouldn’t come cheap and not worth the risk.
We should be going all out to keep Fonua Pole and Terrell May long term, those 2 added to the already signed Sione Fainu and Alex Twal will be a very good basis of our middle forwards and we would then just need to work on replacing Royce Hunt and Bunty Afoa as they get older, but that all depends on their form this season.

Yes I agree he is paid well over his standing , but what I was trying to say, if they are looking to put one of these kids in straight away we will be in big trouble, the kids are light weights with very little nsw cup experience
The form pf Attard would need to be outstanding this season for him to become a realistic NRL option so soon, it’s a case of wait and see with him as it is for Logan Brookes and I’m hoping another good young fullback prospect in Riley Oitmann gets some good opportunities initially playing Jersey Flegg this season.
At this stage we need to know quite soon if we are throwing our eggs in the Jahream Bula basket for the next 3-4 years, or if he’s departing we need to be sounding out a quality replacement before there are no quality replacements left.

So who is your Origin level forward we should be chasing otherwise to come to the club? The idea is to get better right …not just retain you own ….unless you think we are winning the premiership this year ?

Purdue is not a forward …
We currently have a top 5-8 quality forward pack.
The only thing we are missing is a genuine ball playing 13, but I’m thinking our plan is to start with Twal and use Latu as our attack minded 13 after about 20-30mins.
The improved form of Charlie Murray is looking likely to be another genuine option at 13.
There is nothing wrong with our forwards as long as we do not overplay Terrell and Api and as long as we get the balance right between our power running forwards and our workers.
Bunty is a good inclusion as it gives us a second big bodied power running forward to compete with Royce and possibly have them both in our 17 if their form and defence is up to standard.

I doubt he will see out 2026 at the wahs given the circumstances. They are probably hoping to get a player back and waiting until he negotiates elsewhere before releasing for the year

I would absolutely make an offer, he would slot straight into 13

11. S. Fainu
12. KPP
13. Barnett

Gotta be the best 11-13 we have ever fielded

Might have to part ways with someone for him though

It would certainly make our forward pack look great for 2026, but who would you give the Warriors in return that they would want ?
I’m sure the Warriors would be very open to a swap for Terrell or Sione, but I would not be giving them up for anyone.

I’ve always been of the belief Twal could ball play but has always been told not to.
Hope he has a good crack this year.

Confirming I did not consider any of that.

Horrendous precedent they have set already for the whole season.
I understand I spent the morning watching hang gliding in the Swiss Alps to understand the legal importance of it all and yes wind is a critical factor in take off

But in all seriousness if that was reserved we all know what would happen it's just rigged corruption to the core

The system just has to be fair it's time to use blind monkeys they get better results

I dont want to finish 5-8 though …

I want to win the championshiip…. That’s the endgame right?
I want the best forward pack … that can win premierships

The forwards will lay the platform for us to succeed and then it’s up to our million dollar backs to weave their magic and win us the games that could go either way.
My concern in not having a back rower with explosive speed is still there, but KPP could be than man if he chooses to hit top speed more often, he was a centre only a few years back,
Sam Fainu also has a bit of explosiveness about him when he wants to, he too just needs to hit top speed more often.
Also factoring the player I keep mentioning that could be a real x-factor for us off the bench is he knuckles down, works on getting extremely fit and is willing to do the hard work as well as the flashy highlight reel stuff and that is Solo Saukuru.
