Typical NRL lunacy.
However some having the view it will be the same players named at 18 and 19 are way off. Benji will most certainly rotate it
I agree with that, but we are likely to have 1 or 2 forwards our injured most weeks which would mean our core group will probably play plenty of NRL unless dropped due to poor form, or someone below is playing too well to ignore.
We certainly do not want to be playing with players who are busted as we did with Fonua Pole last season.
I am happy with Charlie Murray, Kit Laulilli, Tony Sukkar and Lachlan Broederlow all as possible middle forward call ups, I just think an older battle hardened prop would be good amongst them as an onfield voice and bodyguard playing mainly NSW Cup.
I think we initially may have signed Bunty for that role, but it sounds like he has exceeded expectations and will likely be a regular part of our NRL squad.
If we stick with what we have, someone will need to step up and be our NSW Cup forward leader and a big body such as Vaka Aho might be able to assist, but it can be dangerous having too young of a NSW Cup forward pack and most NRL clubs have a few experienced forwards at this level for this reason.
We need to learn lessons of the past and realise success at NRL level is not just about purely focusing on the NRL team and forgetting to ensure success at NSW Cup level which in turn creates a good development environment for our emerging players.
