Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Agree , if Bellamy was willing to take the risk and Ryan Matto then yep Lomax in our team all day , problem is who would Parra want to swap out and also how much cash
Toa value by Parra would be low probably 350/400 max and he ain’t in Lomax ball park , probably be one of our gun kids like Macca or Luai , we don’t have a huge amount of properly paid players , ours are on overs , or some of them , maybe Bulla for Lomax , I’d be all over that , we do Lomax for 2 years and have the same contract exit as Parra had , so if he signs he knows it’s for 2 years , never know he could enjoy it at Tigers and stay longer ,
toa and skelton for lomax would be the swap that might entice the Eels.

If he hasn’t changed his attitude then that’s nonsense . He was lazy and egotistical and a cancer to the team .
If he’s had a look in the mirror and changed his ways , then yep you’re right. He has all the potential in the world .
I heard he was constantly way behind in every type of cardio and fitness testing and was doing very little to improve despite being put on a strict diet and program to help him get up to standard.
Who knows, maybe the time out of the game has made him realise what he is missing out on and given him the drive to get fit and give himself a chance.

I credit Richardson and Benji taking a harder line stance with this sort of thing as the catalyst for our gradual improvement so far, along with Luai’s obvious competitiveness as a leader.

There’s been a noticeable lift in standards and players who were just too inconsistent in their effort, being moved on.

Hopefully we keep moving forward in our standards and consistency this year.

All Benji, nothing to do with Richo except enforcing the obvious in backing Benji’s decisions.
I agree with some of our very good rugby league minds on this form who say they are still far from convinced on Benji’s overall coaching ability.
However Benji has won me over as its very clear he absolutely loves and only wants the best for our team and club as a whole.
He wears his heart on his sleeve and is doing everything he can to help us become successful on the field.
Nobody is perfect when they are new to doing something, but he seems to be rapidly improving and that’s good enough for me.

With respect that’s rubbish.

Richardson gave some of those offenders a gob full at spoon bowl.

You are just backing your mates which is honourable but come on.

The fact that Richo brought in SM who seems like a similar operator fills me with some hope.

It’s not rubbish at all.
Richo knows nothing about who’s fit, who is unfot, who should stay and who should go.
This is 💯 the job and role of our coaching staff headed by Benji.
Sure the CEO needs to back their decisions, but you would have to be a dumb CEO to go against them and it’s nothing Shaun Mielekamp does not do.

It’s not about fitness it’s about attitude and emotional IQ. The Gus’, Richo’s and Bellamy’s of the rugby league world have been around the block and know BS when they see it. Hopefully Benji is on a similar path.

Give it a rest honestly. Richo & Benji made all those decisions together

Izack Tago has been dropped to reserve grade.
Told to work his way back into the team.

Take him @ the Tigers, over Starford any day of the week.

I'd even sign his brother as a depth option too.

Richo having a shot at the young guys that day was very good. He was instilling a different vibe in the club- along with the message Benji has been trying to spread.

3-way trade- Starford to Parramatta, Lomax to Penrith- Tago brothers (Parra & Penrith)to Tigers to play alongside their mates, the May Brothers.

If I’m not mistaken there were also senior players and guys on big money who couldn’t crack the side among those laughing.
