Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Couple days out from our start and bang in comes Bulla crap with dragons leading the way with big offer , this club would know what was coming and Benji must be just getting pissed off the deal is not done , waiting to see how he goes for a period of games is a joke , sign him or kill the offers , this is gonna derail us again , Attard is hear just go sign Tracey for 2 years and bring in Attard if and when he is ready , piss off mosses and bulla we don’t need them and their shat
As much as I want Bula to stay, I don't care at this point if it means we don't have to keep hearing about it.

I don’t understand why the club would even discuss this with the media. It’s so frustrating. It’s bad enough we have Bula’s situation getting played out in the media in which we probably have no control over. But to put this out there ourselves is so unprofessional

To dilute the negativity over the Bula articles today

Makasini’s manager would be stupid if he allows him to take up a 5 year deal right now.

I don’t know why that’s even out there in the media
Makasini's manager is Tartak who also manages the Fainus so it would have been released by his side given the article is about both his players.

That is another reason why re-signing Sione is very under-estimated. It helps and all but ensures we keep Samuela and Latu long term. With those boys here all at a young age, Tartak is more likely to encourage Makasini to create a successful young core. Makasini will be the long term left centre along the long term left back rower Samuela.

Dragons to pounce on Jahream Bula if Tigers can’t seal deal

St George Illawarra plans to make a huge play for Jahream Bula to be the long-term successor for Clint Gutherson if the star fullback doesn’t come to terms with the Wests Tigers.

Bula has a mutual option in his contract for 2027. The Tigers have until next month to exercise it, which would result in him playing next season on a salary of $900,000. If they choose not to, Bula can take up a player option to stay put by the following month at a price of $900,000. If neither occurs, Bula is free on the open market.

Sources not authorised to speak publicly because Bula’s isn’t a free agent have told this masthead that the Dragons will make the No.1 a priority target if he can’t strike an agreement with the Tigers.

Both clubs identify Bula as a potential franchise player. Dragons officials, to ensure they were observing anti-tampering rules, contacted the NRL to get clarification on when they are permitted to approach Bula. That can only happen if the deadline for Bula or the Tigers to take up the option expires.

The Tigers remain hopeful of coming to terms with the Fijian international, but it won’t happen before their season kicks off. Former chief executive Shane Richardson felt he was close to securing commitments from Bula and Luai before he resigned late last year. Bula’s wife Aaliyah - the daughter of former Bulldogs, Dragons, Sea Eagles and Tigers forward Solomon Haumono - was last year cut from the Tigers’ NRLW squad.

The Tigers have signed promising Panther Jack Attard, a former Australian Schoolboys fullback, as insurance should Bula move on.

Bula has also been linked with Canterbury Bulldogs, fullback Connor Tracey is off contract at the end of the season. (SMH)
They did this with douhei too.
Guess who his manager was?

Idk.. he is 18 and we could be offering him 700k a year (im guessing). That would be pretty damn good.
