Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Makasini's manager is Tartak who also manages the Fainus so it would have been released by his side given the article is about both his players.

That is another reason why re-signing Sione is very under-estimated. It helps and all but ensures we keep Samuela and Latu long term. With those boys here all at a young age, Tartak is more likely to encourage Makasini to create a successful young core. Makasini will be the long term left centre along the long term left back rower Samuela.
750,000 for Samuela is fine but he needs to pick his game up. He was great in 2024 but last season was a bit off, don’t know if it was second year syndrome or an injury. But he needs to have a good year in my opinion for that cash.

Isaac Moses is also Shane Flanagan’s manager. I’ve said it multiple times on here, the moment we mentioned in the media we were confident of re-signing Bula (which we first did months ago and have done a few times since) we were in big trouble. Isaac uses that stuff against you.
Bingo.

The more we deal with this guy the more we see stunts like this.
Keep the Issac moses signed players at the club, see the players either demand massive overs OR go walking after 1-2 years into long term contracts.

Hes 21 , and has been our best forward since the day he debuted . If he wore a blue jersey with a red stripe or white stripe , or even a purple jersey , he’d already be in the origin conversation .
He has stated in a podcast last year that he wants to be a tiger for life , so does his whole family .
The deal will 💯 get done withy he Fainus . And I can’t see tartak steering his clients away from Benji . Pretty much the opposite , especially when it comes to young Pacific Islander boys. He’d surely have seen the huge positive effect Benji has had on those boys.
Remember at manly they had a reputation for being difficult . That was the messaging when they left , and thier mother was a punish . Sometimes it’s square pegs round holes. I’ve never heard anyone at wests tigers or even a hangers on have a bad word to say about anyone in that family .
I don’t want to say that’s manly fault , because im probably sure like I said oil and water.

The back end of last year he was unbelievable. The first half i agree he was down a bit, but if he can play like he finished the year he will be pushing for origin. NSW really need to overhaul their team IMO and guys like Sam, Lucas and Preston should really be considered to take over from the likes of Martin and Crichton.

Me too.
Look at Brisbane ...the Wahs prop wants out last week...boom...hes signed a week later
The price that they have to pay in who and for how long, is still to be decided, so I guess he's not playing until that's done. Clubs will be a bit stronger (but not the Tigers) now after the Lomax issue and not just buckle if someone wants out. If you have the contract you have the upper hand,

Not refuting his ability, was just stating last year was poor compared the 24. I want to keep him, but hoping he can go to the next level consistently.

That’s pretty poor , stands out like dogs cods lower teams screwed again

It’s reported to be 600k for 5 years. He could be making a million by the time he’s 20

Don’t think he will accept that offer
He could also do a couple of ACL’s and end up the next Tautau Moga (not that anyone wants that). There is risk both ways.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they end end doing a deal for a 2-3 year extension as a compromise.

Stupid nrl.really didnt think this 6 man bench rule thru
Bronckos kissed on the diddle again

Poor ? Are you serious …. He was great last year. Poor ? Compared to who ? Peak Sonny Bill … unrealistic expectations right here .
As mentioned earlier by Sirro across the whole 2025 year I couldn’t rate him as great.
Slow start to the year, however improved greatly the back end of the season.

If he starts this season the way he finished last season and can maintain his form will be a great 2026
