He dropped off re the hog splashy play . So for people like you you think he was worse ….. No! Actually . His defence improved out of site . His kick chase improved out site , his ability to attract defenders and draw space for his outside men improved out of site , his first contact improved out of site . His line running improved out of site .
The only thing that got worse , was the big splashy play . So yes … you’re talking shit . Because Samuela was an absolute coaches dream last year . In his first year . He fell off tackles , was caught out of place in attack and defence , gave away a lot of penalties , and was attacked by opposition game plans because he was a rookie .
But he had way more highlight reels , and was clearly the best forward in an otherwise disinterested bunch especially the 2 blokes who left and kicked rocks on the way out .
You can call me whatever you want buddy . But for actual contributing 80 minutes to a win … not highlight reels for YouTube , Samuela was infinitely better his second season .. some of us watch the whole game . Not the kayo minis .

I know Jahream is a good, genuine bloke, but if we just extend him for an extra year without his approval, it’s a big chance his manager instructs him to play poorly in protest.

IF his manager convinces Jahream that he is better off elsewhere, but we just extend his contract for another 12months anyway, there is a chance we will not get the best out of Jahream which would then be a waste of a contract.
So what I am saying is we need to extend him past 2027, otherwise we might as well let him go at the end of this season.

We shouldn't weaken our playing roster to accommodate the priorities of a player manager.

Worst case scenario, we activate the clause for 2027 which gives ourselves time to find another fullback.

It would be idiotic to release bula when we have no one to replace him with. I also dont consider someone who has played no nrl a suitable replacement for 2027.

Keon is playing for souths in 26 and dragons in 27. Haas for the Broncos in 26 and souths in 27. Neither of them are throwing in the towel.

As you said, bula is a stand up guy, he wouldnt let his mates down because his manager told him to.

Then we only have to deal with Phoenix Godinet and Sukkar .
