Purdue will be the number one fullback in the NRL within 3 years.
Paying him anything up to 1 million per season is a bargain for whoever gets his signature.
You need to learnt he difference between a bit of Footy Banter
making an Idiot of youself.

Purdue does seem to be on a repetitive loop with you V, cousin's son in law maybe. You need to learnt he difference between a bit of Footy Banter

Not near enough, he will get 4 million for 4 years if he wants it.
I think Fletcher Sharpe and Jaxon Purdue are very similar players, with very similar strengths,You are copping it about Purdue but I dee where you are coming from. He is definitely a gun, and looking at his skillset he looks custom made for fullback IMO. Big risk throwing large money at him though when he hasn't played there. You could end up with a million dollar centre if he doesn't nail the fullback role. Id be going after Fletcher Sharpe and happy to pay overs for him
Well put Stevied. I agree with it all.I watched Jahreem Bula's game closely against Souths and I'm ready to make a couple of calls on him. Based on his performance over the last 18 months, his potential to improve and overall contribution to the team, there is no way he is worth more the than 650k. At the moment, he is what I'd call a serviceable fullback. He is nowhere near being a gamebreaker when the Tigers desperately need one. He often goes missing and many of his runs are ineffective. Actually I'd venture to say that many of his runs are wastes of tackles as they lack any real penetration or gusto. Additionally, his passes when joining the line are often badly timed or plain miss directed. On the positive side, he is excellent under the high ball, however, he regularly misses tackles when defending close to the line. Overall, he is average and after, more than 2 years in first grade, seems to have reached his ceiling. Contract offers that linger never end well for the Tigers so I think the club should put a deadline on the deal. Take it or leave it. 'You're on the bus or we find or develop someone who shows more skill and far greater commitment'.
It’s time to move on as he is clearly not improving in our system.Well put Stevied. I agree with it all.
As much as I like him and how he seems to fit in well with the boys, he 1) has hasn't shown to be a super IQ footballer, 2) has not proven to be a match winner with an explosive tackle break or cut-out pass, & 3) rarely comes up with amazing try-saving cover tackles, which fullbacks on $900K+ should be.
I actually said to my Mrs last night with 10 to go, if Bula is to in any way justify $900k, he needs to win this type of game for us with a moment of brilliance like a Latrell or Reece or Papz would. Still waiting.
I think Will Kennedy is off-contract too & pipedream is Joey Manu. It’s time to move on as he is clearly not improving in our system.
Cure t available options for 2027 which would be just as good and potentially much better for us include;
Jason Purdue
Scott Drinkwater
Connor Tracey
Roger Tuivasa -Scheck
Trai Fuller
Jake Averillo
Exactly! 900k is just plain ridiculous. Apparently Deininger, in Jersey Flegg, is already far more dynamic and complete fullback. At least, at that level. He's already scored a First Grade try, although, admittedly in a trial. Let's develop him.Well put Stevied. I agree with it all.

The moment was there with 4 to go too. 1 on 1 bomb contest was set up perfectly with a much smaller Gray. We needed that special moment from him then, but rewatching it, he barely got off the ground to contest.Well put Stevied. I agree with it all.

Gus knows why he's playing that way.they say a verbal contract isn’t worth the paper it’s written on … Im sure Gus watches our games too, and he might be having second thoughts about signing him for three years…
Dropping Bula to reserve grade isn’t going to help us win games this year either by the way
Gus knows why he's playing that way.
Letting go does not guarantee getting who you want - especially at this club.I'd let bula go and go for
drinkwater
purdue
Kennedy
So Drinkwater isn’t coming … right?
