Wonder who we target next year seems we will loose Geyer and lulllili brothers , dump a few more maybe , probably reserve graders only no real guns / although we may need a fullback for 2 years if bulla moves on as I would send him packing if he doesn’t take up a deal long term

We’d only be replacing those guys with depth players. We’re yet to lose anyone significant for next year.
Each win makes The Tigers a more attractive club for players.
Upgrade Tavana & Afoa. Re-sign Skelton, Sukkar & Murray. Unsure about Kit, pending concussion.
Do that & we have 3 or so spots still available.
Unsure about Broderlow, he's on a development deal this year.
Bye to Mason, Saukuru & Craig.
A lot coming off contract in 2027, so need to extend most of them.
That’s a relative statement . If it’s in relation to manly … 💯 true . If it’s in relation to the broncos and storm 💯 not true . The new academy will help drive higher standards re. Coaching and development. I genuinely think weve produced some decent coaches , but they’re few and far between . Shane Sultana being the latest . Gardner , Webster , Payten the obvious good ones. We have to figure out what guys like Sultana have that others don’t , tap into it and try and emulate / recruit people who are of a similar ilk .
The main issue and road block . to this is the 2 pathways being so separate to the point of oppositional . The idea that 2 teams means more guys get a go , is good in theory , but not if resources arnt allocated fairly / nepotism runs rife through the club . Which currently both those things are issues . Try and tell old Balmain boys that thier cousins boyfriend is a shit a coach…. And the knives come out . Even more so at wests . Also there’s a dearth of guys who have the correct accreditation to coach at the rep levels , because a lot of good coaches drop out when their kids stop playing , or simply because they don’t want to deal with the bullshit that comes with youth sports . So they don’t level up . So often the guys who do have the levels arnt always the best coaches . So it’s a small pool to choose from .
A clear definition of the pathways , and identification of coaching talent early , has to be apart of the program moving forward . Especially if thier kid is about to age out , or find another sport or hobby .
That’s the best….. Isaac Moses and torpedoing clubs . Is there a better combo . Gus Gould his lack of morality , greed and his Hubris has opened Pandora’s box and given him an avenue into the club. Yeah what’s doing with outside backs next year … Luke not retained, Jeral, Mason, Solo, Craig top 30 guys off contract. Will need to recruit externally I’d say just because not much is coming through

Not sure about Saukuru.
His best position seems questionable.
Damaging player with the ball. Not sure about his defence--motor--or commitment.
A bit of a mystery looking from outside trying to understand what's holding him back?
Let’s give them another 12 weeks or so before making a decision on next year.
