Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don’t get the Bunty situation , great player , done very well pre season and I think would be a gun on the bench , replace Seyfarth , he defends well and can hit the line well , just not sure why he is not in the top grade ,
Someone explained it well, i cant remember who, but ill try regurgitate it.

We have Sione and Royce for the middle rotation.. if something happened to an edge, it means alex can slide in and play 80 without impacting the middle.

If we had bunty on the bench we lose that ability and effectively have 3 middles.

Its not that bunty is bad. But we are coming 2nd. Our forwards are doing a job. It wouldn't make sense to change it when no one has put a foot wrong yet.

Andrew John’s was one heck of a footy player …but I find him so annoying as a media commentator…talks a lot of rubbish
I agree 💯TS!! Today Andrew Johns is also saying “paying Scott Drinkwater $1million a season would be a “ bargain” for the Dragons!
Geez, after watching Drinkwater last night against Manly , this is a crazy comment . Makes Bula look xxxy, but we need to take the option at the very least

Thats it, good to gave depth for once!! Seyfarth more versatile

Bunty would be next man up in the prop rotation when an injury happens

Can't fault the rotation too much at the moment.
Twal and May having career years,
Sione and Hunt making an impact every week
Pole sound and has a very high ceiling he hasn't come close to reaching
Seyfarts maximising his ability in a role perfect for him

Bunty is not ousting any of these middles. Good Cup backup to have
Might even be behind Kit or even Taupau-Moors if Benji wants to blood him

we will see

Free hit for me as i backed manly last night at $2.20
I've backed titans to beat warriors this week absolutely at $3.60 terrific value, think titans score too many points for warriors
in ra ing terms that win by warriors was a gut buster they will be flat as this week
As for the Storm I've backed canberra tonight, think Storm might be gone mate.

our forwards are dominating

we have not beaten much yet

Beat a weak cowboys side

Beaten by a souths side we should have beaten

Beat a warriors side
with the most hyped pack in the comp - pop gun team no substance

Beat an injury ravaged parramatta team

Beat Newcastle with a halfback you wouldn't feed in smith and without ponga and brown

our forwards are leading the way this year, not too many sides can match us upfront
Canberra
Brisbane at full strength
Penrith

Top 4 here we come
After they lost to the Tigers the Cowboys went on to beat the Broncos and the Storm. The Bunnies in 2026 are not mugs and I thought the Tigers played tough against them. Definitely should have won on Saturday night against the Broncos. If they lose at Leichhardt on Thursday night against Raiders it will be difficult to have any confidence in Tigers finally playing finals footy (after 13 years).

Lots of players coming off contract at the end of next year. It would be great to see what else is available in the market. Although you have to think if we can keep this squad together for the next 3-4 years, we could be in a premiership window.

I think Samuela will command more money if he continues how he's going. I see Haumole Olakau'atu as a similiar player who is on approx. 875K per year. His overall deal is 7mil over 8 years and that was signed in 2023 ..

Samuela is an incredible player. I would let Bula go if it meant a big contract for Sam and he stays 5 years. He's got everything.
