Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not to mention Mahoney, thought it was dumb that they moved him from captain to out the door over a couple of seasons.

The Dogs really know how to treat players poorly.
Remember Karl Oloapu. He was an absolute up and coming young half who the dogs (Gould) threw in to 13.
  • Move: The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs paid a $500,000 transfer fee to sign Oloapu from the Brisbane Broncos in 2023.
  • Injury & Release: After playing only seven first-grade games, Oloapu was diagnosed with a serious bulging disc in his neck.
  • Outcome: Following surgery and a long recovery, it was confirmed in February 2025 that Oloapu was released from the final two years of his contract due to the injury, putting his playing future in doubt.

Gould and ciraldo are oth Pr#%ks

Bulldogs have sniped another of our pathways stars, 16yo Monson Hopoate.

Another Hopoate seems destined for the NRL ranks. This time Albert Hopate’s son Monson Hopoate - nephew to John - is making a name for himself after agreeing to join the Bulldogs.
He wasn't a standout for Wests this year.

Please keep all Luai PNG stuff in the Luai thread...thanks

We need to open a new management thread as to why these conversations are even happening when he was ready to remove the clauses last year.

^THIS

This is why whenever people say "NRL is just a business", they have no idea.

Anthony Watmough stayed at the Sea Eagles because he wanted to play with Glenn Stewart.

Sheens did a similar decision when he let Heighington/Ryan leave so he could pursue Blair/Anasta. As Anasta put it "I walked into the training room and it was like a bomb hit".

^To Sheen's credit. Both players got better contracts, they were not "Dumped" like Mahoney was.

Ciraldo/Ghould dumped Mahoney and Sexton who were both playing with good form.

Ofcourse many here are saying Sexton > Galvin and we have had that argument.
But in that:
The Bulldogs form, overall worsened.
Sexton, if being a halfback was not a dictator to the team. "too many cheifs not enough indians" comes to mind.

It’s been a great weekend so far.

Tigers - Win
Dogs/Galvin - Lost
Storm/Stefano - Lost
Parra/Moses & TDS - Surely Lose?
I know and LB/Manly won... Wait a sec.

Meh, stuff it. Moses is a dropkick and I am glad to see him loose, got no problem with LB seeing some success. I can't be angry at Brooks, it's like being angry at a puppydog.

Heck I don't think we face Manly again this year unless it's in the finals.
