Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Lol.

Hi signed and got rid of players.

Wasn’t around long enough to extend.

Dude you’ve got zero idea if you think Richo was not or is not an effective CEO.

His results speak higher than anyone else in the game. Period.

3 premierships. 4 clubs. All basket cases. The other to a pre lim. I don’t need to say anymore.

And you seem intelligent so stop the Richo was sh*t campaign.

In two years got $100m in funding for two stadium. Signed most of our top new recruits. Got rid of deadwood. Now we’re humming. Then he leaves. And we’re losing players and now overpaying to keep others. Our board is full of magpie die hards and our CEO has zero rugby league CEO experience.

Even if benji did the motivational speech to recruit people. Having Richo to negotiate after that is key. If you think Richo isn’t a gun negotiator than we’re on diff planets

Recruits? Turuva, luai, may brothers, kpp. Stopped Pole going to melbourne storm. Extended Makasini and stopped rugby poaching him. Plus a host of fringe and junior players (madden, Andrews, extended Jared Haywood etc) . And probs others we don’t even know about. And all the Jarome was done by Pascoe is BS, he did t sign till Richo came and the dogs were going hard for him. It didn’t close till Richo did it.
I do recall at the time reading the Dogs thought they had him until Richo came on board here.

$600 million…. Cheap!
True ,tax payers money has always propped up / went to PNG since we where kids if not sooner
It ,PNG subsidy bends out of shape , the fibre of the game its a jelly in perpetual motion of facebook fantasy, The Game has lost interest no matter what the stats

You mean a 5 star compound.

You can leave a resort without security, that won't be possible for a Chief's player.
I get what you are saying, but they won't be slumming it and realistically they will be leaving every second week (if the draw is done that way) during the footy season. When the season is finished and they get their 8 week break, I'm sure it wont be spent over there.

Funny, when I ask you about facts, you casually ignore it.
You have an unhealthy predisposition about the people that saved our club from dying when Balmain imploded.
Yes, they have made mistakes, but the fact is they were the only ones that saved us when Balmain irresponsibly defaulted on it's half of obligations.
You don't give them any credit, rather you abuse them when there's any ripple in our club.
Lose a game ? HBG.
Someone doesn't sign yet ? HBG
We start winning games ? you still whinge about HBG.
Everyone in the game has said what a win win the Luai case has been. Except on here. We all know who's fault it is. 3 letters.
As for December, I don't know what happened. Either do you. But I don't go around pretending to, and then drawing nut-job conclusions based on my clueless assumptions.
Keep it up mate.
I'm not the one losing sleep, or bashing my head against a brick wall.
My "side of the discussion" is fine. But you keep going, you never know, you might change something
Back to the old Balmain argument. We need to move on - they are irrelevant.

People want the best running our club. That's it. Benji is transparent, and that's why he has so much support. We can see his actions, and all feel they are the right ones. He's doing his job well.

HBG operates in the shadows. They need to step out of it to get credibility back. Because, in the same way Benji assessed, their actions make absolutely no sense a lot of the time. They aren't doing their job. It's not their money. They are custodians of the club.

We haven't even got a permanent CEO after 6 months. Our media has taken a back step, the stadium strategy is up in the air, and now we've been blindsided with no pre-emptive strategy to lock in our key players for the long term (i.e., the May's/ Bula). One of which had his discussions halted because of them.

It feels like we've managed to restart the bus, and we're saying all is fine with a bunch of L-platers navigating. We cannot turn into post-2010 again.

There are taxation implications if they don't.
Yep there's a few hoops they have to jump through to get the tax free coin. I have a mate who's young bloke works for the ATO he said it’s easier to emigrate to Australia than it is to return to the country after working os without paying tax on the earnings. It's doable but it not as easy as a lot of people think.

Which is my point.

All it takes is for a boat to drop a makeshift stealth mine and drop it near/around Australian waters.

There goes 1 out of 8 360Billion dollar subs.

Now could a submarine control a fleet of ocean drones? Or would it just be a giant floating target??
Our Chinese mates are trying a mini sub that can control 6 drones on various activities.

As someone who doesnt care about balmain or wests, it bemuses me that I am told I should be forever grateful that a BUSINESS decided to take 90% control of an NRL team.

Do they think they are the only Australian Business who'd be interested in owning an NRL club?

It benefited them to buy out Balmain, because this buyout gave them 90% control. Its not like they got nothing out of it.

I am not a Balmain tragic. They didnt save me. They didnt save the Wests Tigers. They made a business decision.

What am I missing?
