Always appreciate your insight. What’s the go with Skelton? I’ve always liked him and thought he’s been solid for us. Had one off game and it’s like Benji won’t pick him. Feels like something has happened behind the scenes? He’s great out of back-field, relatively safe under the high ball, quick enough and can finish. Biggest question mark is his turning in defence and for kicks. That being said, I’ve seen him crush a few blokes rushing in. Just seems off. He’s a top 2 winger, if not a great backup and not breaking the bank.

It's a very inexperienced backline. Even Taylan May hasn't hit 50 games.
It needs to be balanced out. You need Herbert next to a rookie winger and not To'a.

Great update mate , any bully on who we are looking at utside our current group before June 30 as we have 1 spot left 2 if Skelton goes , or any new blood for next year

Definitely need some depth and or first grade options till our youth are ready.

Id like to see Fiohiva Siale Fainga'a developed, but who knows with these cup players. They can look great and then disappear the following year (example; Kiah Cooper)

Sione Finau , can't get a crack at the Raiders since arriving from the Dragons

Sam Stonestreet at the Sharks is off contract. Always liked him, handy player. Not sure they'd let him go though.

Good squad players that are already friends with the players I'd be looking at for cup, speedster Jordan Hill and Trey Peni.

Saukuru has been showing something at wing in cup . He has a few issues defensively , so he’s not nrl level, and I think he needs to get his engine up / work rate , but with another offseason at 22 , he could very easily be at skeltons level .
I was very surprised at the leap he’s taken , as I was for sure certain he would move to edge back row , because he’d ultimately proven to have much of a future at centre . But he has been good .
Maybe that’s wha the club is thinking ?

Raiders have 3 first grade hookers.

Feel like Braileys the one that could be an option.

I think they would be very cognisant of blocking Makasini's pathway into first grade for the risk of losing him so would be looking at a player at the other end of his career who could do a job for the next 18 months

To be fair i think Maka is an out and out centre. While he didnt do anything outstanding like his runs on the wing, he adapting extremely fast defensively. I know he had a few poor reads ear;y but every game he was getting better, honestly better then anything we have had there since.
