Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Farnworth might make a world 13 and Bostock has been exceptional since his debut. No concern about picking up a solid first grader stuck behind that pair.
This is spot on. Farnworth is a top-tier centre and Bostock is on his way to being one. We're not in a position to sign a top-tier centre, but a mid-tier guy with speed, experience and good utility value - I think it's a very astute signing if it comes to fruition.

Yeah, fair enough at the right price.

Why can the Dolphins have two high quality centres and we pick up the reserve grader? We will never be a top team if this continues.

If he's asking too much then wait for a better opportunity, or spend it elsewhere

We already have May and Makasini and Toa

To’a is busted and Makasini has shown he’ll get there but not quite physically ready. The price is important I agree.

Thought he was originally a six that transitioned to no1. I can recall him playing six for Newtown but it could be my imagination
He's played both 5/8 and fullback for Canterbury this season.

He was moving okay on the weekend but I'd still be wary of the impact of two season-ending knee injuries in 24' and 25'.

Where are you getting reserve grader from? He’s played every game. Bostock was playing on Averillo’s wing before injury.

Saukuru is currently a fair way ahead of both Tavana and Makasini. He's stronger and faster than both. Defence is a question mark for all. He's much more powerful than all our other young backs.
Yes makasini has a high ceiling but so far he hasn't proven much in any competitive fixtures. He's been rushed in before he's ready. He is exclusively a winger at this stage in his development and is paying the price for our weak squad.

I reckon Sol has more potential as a backrower but the coaching staff - aside from Shane Sultana - appear to see him as an outside back.

I thought the same thing, How’s he been going in reggies? I wonder what he thinks of the sitch now after Galvout has been so shite, and still he’s no chance of getting a game over Galvout.
Dykes played fullback on the weekend. Did some good things with ball in hand and scored a couple of tries. However did not offer much resistance in the last line of defence for a couple of our tries where he could have done better

I like Alex because he rips in and he has an excellent work ethic. Unfortunately, at times he's chaotic and it leads to crucial penalties and mistakes.

He's in the top 50 second rowers in 2026, so he's getting the job done, but he's far from elite.

If he can minimise those mistakes, I think he could crack the top 20.

Let Seyfarth try and crack the top 20 as a 2nd rower at another club, I've seen enough of him here, time to hit the road Leroy.

On the weekend alone he let in two tries and injured Twal. Hes reckless, lacks discipline, doesn't bend the line or break tackles.

He's had 7 years to prove himself here and he is still a liability unfortunately... Much better value for money players out there.

Sorry brother, but how good is your maths?

Top 50? there are 17 teams - 2 per team as starters. That's 34 top grade second rowers. What does top 50 prove? that he belongs in reserve grade or at best on the bench?
