Did you know that Tom Shines was a name that people used to flippantly call Tim Sheens back around 2012-13 around the time they sacked him the first time ?

He coached us to a premiership which I’ll always be grateful for … Ive probably only got about 20 or so years left of life ( God willing) … so there is a good chance I won’t see another one given the perpetual struggles the club seems to have …

Having said that … I think in hindsight he left the club in difficult circumstances the first time … they probably should have left it at that rather than bring him back.., I doubt anyone will remember his second stint here very fondly ..

Mate I’m not, you are. Everyone can see the above. You said he wasn’t playing first grade because he’s ordinary. I simply noted that this is incorrect and provided the statistics to prove it.

No one is saying he should be in the halves ahead of Luai and Doueihi. But there is no reason he can’t fill in over Madden. Playing 30 mins in the middle does nothing for him or the team.

Madden was pivotal to our early season success, including a great win against the warriors. Madden has runs on the board at 7, latu does not (yet). Madden has played consistent football the last 3 years. Latu hasnt. Playing 30 mins in the middle each week gets his nrl experience up without the added pressure of leading a team around the park. It doesnt do anything for the fans who want to see him. But it does alot for his own development.
