I can’t say I know …but I’ll comment that whilst they struggle for good talent identification and development at most positions, they seem to particularly struggle with props .

One thing I I do know is that Cooper Clarke was always rated much higher than his older brother Zac who was part of the Magpies Premiership winning Harold Matthews team and now going well with the Panthers NSW Cup team.
It was 💯 known Cooper has plenty of potential, but we simply prioritised too many others ahead of him, hence his move to Melbourne Storm at 18 years of age.
When young forwards are big, have good mobility and run the ball fearlessly you have to pay attention and think they could be worth putting plenty of time into developing even if they have their struggles with their fitness levels.
We have a young prop who played on our recent premiership winning MacArthur - Wests Magpies team who is very reminiscent of a young Cooper Clarke, just not sure if he has the same mobility as Cooper, but his name is Billy Davis. One to keep an eye on.

No doubt, helps if the quality of the guys were bringing in was up to a certain level. They didnt even look like they could make it in N.S.W cup.
His dad played for the Magpies, and worked in the Juniors for them.
He’s had a front row seat to our ‘struggles’

Reads to me that nothing goes to top flight and that amount goes to the Junior Comps.

I agree Ink - really depends what attitude he turns up with. We know he can play and would be a great backup for Samuela and KPP + bench
He was terrible defence wise with us,one of the worst defenders on an edge we have ever had and still is at both the cows and now the dragons.What makes you think that will change if he comes back?

Yes i do believe he is worse,if you doubt my words watch his games when he played for us.He is a liability on an edge.We need ANSWERS to a problem not just more of the same.
