I was watching NSW Cup on the weekend and a couple of my sons mates playing told me something if its true Benji and Shannon have pulled off a big coup beating a heap of NRL clubs chasing one of our old juniors. I got told Mikey Nasser is heading back to us in 2027.

I have seen some of his tries this year and he is bigger and quicker than when he left. I am trying to get a list of stats that they showed me where he is leading the avg metres and tackle busts for the whole Jersey Flegg comp.

Maybe the club are realising how important pure speed is with the potential signings of Averillo & Nasser then.

I would say Jeral Skelton would be appealing at his low cost to almost every rival club and therefore if we are not going to play him, we might as well try and use him as a bargaining chip for a potential mid season player swap.

Depends how tight our cap is really. I think it was Adel on one of the podcasts said we are at our limits. You would think any swaps (although these things are always spoken about but rarely happen) would need to be players on similar wages.

Depends on the need.
If roosters think they need X and its going to help their final chances, the numbers dont really matter as long as it fits into the cap.

The Spencer L thing may have legs. My guess he will follow Luai to Port Moresby so he may need a home for a year. The Chooks may see this as a good time to clean up their cap. It would be a win for us even if it was only for 1.5 seasons.

I make it 3 in the Top 30:… AD, Latu and Jock… JL can fill in too if need be..why do need a 4th specialist when we have a lot of other weaknesses and a tight cap?

Generally 4 halves unless you have a decent utility that does a reasonable job.

Also Luai is only with us until next year, so thinking more to 2028...

Depends if the club is confident on Latu and Andrews as back up if first picked get injured/lose form.

Perhaps releasing Madden for a clear first line upgrade in 2027? Still not convinced on Latu just yet. In fairness, we have needed to him plug all sorts of holes and it would be nice if he could string some games at half in cup for his development and to see if he performs. Barely plays half for us, so not totally on board about handing him the 6 or 7 at this stage.

No there is players , playing in NSW CUP who would be looking to again play 1st grade , Iam saying blokes who are over 28 years old , but have played 1st grade, we need experienced players in the backrow NOW

These are the back rowers off contract we could try and get, from that list id only take blore, maybe matterson, o donnell maybe kelma, and gosiewski my broncos mates rate him

I would jump on blore and Leilua at this moment we need there experience, we only need them as fill ins , but could be playing for contracts if they play well

I see enough 6’s to make a good poker hand.

I think Benji thinks differently based on selections when fit.. I also think it’s pretty hard to complain about ADs performance in the position if he is unorthodox

I hope what I was told was right I know from my son he is killing at the Dogs, I cant see how they would let him go, if Shannon and Benji have pulled it off it'll be great for us. His junior club at the Concord Wolves is a couple of blocks away from WT HQ at Concord. Benji has always said he backs our junior talent. This is the stat sheet I was shown on the weekend. Dogs had him debut in Cup last week, you can see why so many clubs are after him. Cant see them letting him go

Shannon Gallant is amassing a great strike rate at resigning talent. Would love to see Samuela Fainu re-signed, amongst everyone else he has managed to grab, it would be massive for us.
