I hope what I was told was right I know from my son he is killing at the Dogs, I cant see how they would let him go, if Shannon and Benji have pulled it off it'll be great for us. His junior club at the Concord Wolves is a couple of blocks away from WT HQ at Concord. Benji has always said he backs our junior talent. This is the stat sheet I was shown on the weekend. Dogs had him debut in Cup last week, you can see why so many clubs are after him. Cant see them letting him goView attachment 39074

Shannon Gallant is amassing a great strike rate at resigning talent. Would love to see Samuela Fainu re-signed, amongst everyone else he has managed to grab, it would be massive for us.

Imagine he does well at 7...what do you do with AD? I don't think he is too keen on 13, esp with a bung shoulder, center could be an option. Also if you put Latu at 7 and drop Madden, we will not have a quality goal kicker until AD comes back....and he plays 7. Its a bit of a dilemma with Latu. I get the feeling if we did not have the injuries and suspensions Latu would have been partnering with Andrews every other week in Cup. Will be interesting to see what happens when AD is back if Josese has a few more solid performances he could be the 14 to cover Hooker and lock, Madden on the extended bench and Latu back to cup.

Think AD can have same impact at 6 as he does at 7
I see Madden as a short term option tbh..and we all know Luais tenure

I think the dilemma is more so with Laui to be honest

If Luai needs to go a year early, it is what it is. I am sure the Dragons will take him for 12 months

Problem is, at a time where Fainu probably should have been tested in FG, he was not, and so we do not have an affirmative verdict

I think the main issue with not playing Latu at 7 is that he is on the market after Nov this year and I think we are all wanting some closure on his potential as a first grade half before we extend him....assuming its a package deal with his brother. Having said that he is still very young and probably has a year or two before you would expect most halves to stake their claim in first grade. I would be comfortable if we extended him on the same money with increases each year tied to performance and development benchmarks.

Not sure what you are getting at mate, the amount of thinking i did on him is basically as i was writing that response. And I'm pretty sure that is 100% more than he has done about me.

If Alex Conti is killing it in nsw cup while Mitchell Woods is injured and the dogs need a 7 and Galvin at 6 why don't they try it while they're on the bottom of the ladder??? Conti won't hang around if he can't get a start while in good form, what else can he do ???

Really played well against the Eels. Even had a barge over get out of my way try that you don't see from many halves.

Samuela is worth every cent

We say that about every decent player WTs have up for renewal,and as a consequence weve spent all of Luais considerable salary for 2028 ,with more upgrades to come
And we still have basically a mid table team at very best
We have a number of players who are solid/good 1st graders now on pretty much SOO $$$,but only one is playing tonite and hes going on 34
Need more performance/results based contracts
Sanuela is one who I think may play SOO one day...but not for a few seasons
Dont wanna lose him,but...

What amuses me is when posters get offended on behalf of players, thinking they are some kind of white knight. Like the players would care.
