Any truth to the Blore rumour Kade.- just on averillos deal , 700k in year 3 and 4, it includes all ratchet clauses as well , which factors in a new broadcast deal , today's comparison would be around 500k
- expect samuela and latu to be announced in the next two weeks also
- tupou deal close, believe we are angling for a dev deal, but tupou wants top 30
Anyone else we're looking at before June 30?st george absolutely offering more money, we are offering less then his current contract
No they are different.Dunster, Herbert and Tupou even Schuster all seem to be similar type signings. All with good pedigree but all probably their last chances to crack it. Very Bennett-esque from Benji
No they are different.
Herbert clearly had lost his NRL chance, we looked for a min value signing and gave him a chance...
At min value he is worth it.
Tupou has failed at Dolphins and Easts are punting him. We shouldn't touch the guy.
Dunster was 2021. Train and trial, maybe. it's 2026 I doubt he will have anything to offer.
Schuster is a big risk. This is a lot like us signing Jamal Idris, who from memory did next to zero here and was 'community ambassador'.
Unsure if we have really signed Dunster, but signing all 3 above is some real long shots. I hope we haven't paid any significant money at all.

I am less worried if Averillo provides 600 even 500k value. more that we sign someone and end up with a 700k paperweight.
At least Herbert knows how to have a dig.I mean we found Herbert on an excavator, I think Tupou is an upgrade on him.
I really don't understand the Junior signing, if it happens.- just on averillos deal , 700k in year 3 and 4, it includes all ratchet clauses as well , which factors in a new broadcast deal , today's comparison would be around 500k

Guess the equivalent would be to steer left hoping to go right and steer right hoping to go left. Can you operate an excavator with flippers?
With predictions of a $20m salary cap in fact 500k becomes $833kYou gotta get your head around tne new salary cap from 2028 .,. $700k is the new $500k
From memory, we didn't want to lose him but we didn't want to match the Dolphins offer.I really don't understand the Junior signing, if it happens.
We let him go, then he was dropped by the Dolphins after two games, and now he can't crack the Roosters side.
If I were his manager, I'd be recommending that he play a couple of years in the Super League to rebuild his confidence and skills.
I’m not sure. When a player is bouncing around clubs so early in their career, there are often discipline, training, or skill issues. From memory, we didn't want to lose him but we didn't want to match the Dolphins offer.
This may be last crack in the NRL and with a guy like Benji, he may actually have a crack.
Pretty good back up option tbf, especially if he can reach his potential.
Junior T needs to prove he is top 30 and there has nothing in his game time since he left us originally to suggest he is worth a punt on. Would rather the Brain's trust at the tigers promote within then than sign Junior. Signing Schiller or Wilson De Courcey warrant more effort in signing. From memory, we didn't want to lose him but we didn't want to match the Dolphins offer.
