Huh ? He played in two grand finals for them ..played well actually …imagine some of our outside backs being targeted by a Bellamy game plan in a grand final …I can’t either..rather I don’t want too..
So you think he is a genuine 450-500k player ?
At the Panthers he was earning a near minimum wage and played a very basic role for them which allowed them to pay big money for their genuine stars and match winners.
He is a decent player and always gives his best, but once wingers are being paid uk around 500k or more they cannot be just good solid players who give their best, they need to have special qualities to regularly come up with big plays that help turn games in their teams favour.
The only special qualities Turuva has is running the ball fearlessly out of the danger zone and being a very good finisher when given try scoring opportunities within the red zone.
Have you ever seen him score a long range try ?
Not in the past couple of years and he very rarely makes a long line break either.
When you combine that with a dull boring fullback who doesn’t have a step or any unpredictability in his game, combine thatcwith second rowers who try hard, but are really middle forwards doing their best on an edge and you combine that with outside backs who are not good enough or fast enough to make long range line breaks and are not good enough defensively to make up for it.
We have very limited attacking threatcandcwondsefcwhy we struggle tj score points anywhere other than some games at Leichhardt Oval where we get plenty of decisions go our way and plenty of ball possession because of it.
I can excuse an 18y.o Makasini as our dopey coach should have seen the signs very early in the season that he was struggling mentally and physically and he should not have been exposed tjo this high pressure situation we now find ourselves in.
