Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Shame, if he plays hope he does well, but there is no point in rushing him.

Not a shame IMO. Lanyon showed in his debut he can handle long minutes, and Haywood looked great in the trials and handled the physical side fine. So 10 minutes before and after halftime with Lanyon playing 60 minutes will be just fine i reckon. Wouldn't want to play him too much more though

Sad day tbh. I understand the reasons why but I'm a fan even if others aren't. He got us a seat at the table for a number of players and helped give us an identity back that we are building into.

Hope him the best and hope a contender grabs him he could take a few over the top imo.
I’m fan too, felt like the only adult one a lot of the time. And he copped some undeserved criticism. Today feels like the bastards won

The silly thing is I believe we could have gotten rid of Luai for nothing next season. When he signed with the Chiefs we had to allow him to take up his option for 2027 because the time to execute it per his contract had passed. 8 weeks later we are asking him to leave and will no doubt have to pay at least half of his $1.2m for next year.

No he activated it before the deadline

He must have a deal done, the club would look silly saying they are letting him walk and than finding he is staying because he can’t get a better deal. I think he will be at the Dogs next year with our club paying about 400g. By the time we upgrade the Fainu’s and balance the books we probably have enough left to buy a box of bandaides.
Maybe Gatorade and strapping.
