Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I love Campbelltown Stadium. The ground doesn't make the team win or lose. The players do. I wish they'd pick 1 ground, I do not care where, and make it a home ground. And wear the bloody home jersey at home games, for goodness sake. What a joke our club is. No home ground, no home jersey, and fans that crap on other fans because of the ground the game is played at.
Suzie I would love to believe the ground makes no difference, but to do that, we would have to ignore the years of home ground advantages enjoyed by other clubs. Why is Manly so hard to beat at Brookvale? Melbourne at AAMI? Brisbane at Suncorp? Canberra at GIO? The list goes on.

Why do teams typically have a better record at home than away?

We do like to trot this line out for Campbelltown - it makes no difference. If that was the case, we shouldn't see such a huge difference in the stats.

I am happy you like Campbelltown though. You will have plenty of games to attend next year.

Very unlikely we’ll ever have one ground, our 2 spiritual grounds are the closest thing we’ll have to our own. As much as it pains to say it the ones that talk about Campbelltown not being a home fortress have a point, but sometimes it does go too far. Most fans will rather go to Leichhardt even with its flaws because they know they have a better chance of seeing their team win than they do at Campbelltown. I’m not saying we play tonight at Leichhardt we win, but I think more fans would have gone had that been the case. It’s a sad but harsh truth.

I was told by a Easts sponsor tonight that the Tigers are after Isaiya Katoa who wants to come back to Sydney in 2028. No idea how reliable the information is.

Apparently direct swap with Javon Andrews. Same salary too lol.

Seriously though, I wax on about Latu because I see so many similar traits as Isaiya and I just know how important those traits are to a teams attack. If we could get Katoa I'd be over the moon. He is an unbelievable half. That would allow Latu to play his natural position of 6 and those two would open up ridiculous space for Bula, Averillo and May.

We could go Latu and AD next year and the best performed one partners Katoa in 28.

He’s definitely the sort of player who’d end up at the Roosters. Especially if Walker leaves. He might want to go back to Qld, and it’s pretty much a straight swap.

AD in the halves has a shelf life. Maybe he plays there next year if the alternative is two rookies, but he’s a glorified placeholder.

Mick Ennis speculating that Mitch Moses might could be an option for the tigers next year. I think it's just a theory. but we could do with a whinging prick complaining to the refs getting us calls.. also showing our young halves what a real #7 looks like.

Thoughts?

Option to do what ? They are just throwing stuff against the wall

It’s not the Tigers to Mick Ennis. It’s the Toigers

I think Katoa would go to Penrith in 2028, if Cleary leaves. The likely scenario

Cleary > Roosters
Katoa > Panthers
Sam Walker > Dolphins

I don’t get what we could offer him, that Panthers couldn’t.

I had to go back and see exactly what Ennis said about Mitch Moses coming back to the club …he is totally just speculating that the Tigers have already identified a replacement to move Luai on now ..so hey it must be Mitch right?.. also then went on to say that Mitch would be looking at the Tigers line up and thinking he can go there and win a premiership ….if that’s the evidence , I would suggest we hold off getting Mitch fitted for a new blazer just yet …

At least one game a year where you get 60+ scoreline against you, solid chance to fight for the spoon and an almost guaranteed annual controversey that just cosolidates this clubs reputation as trash.
Whats not appealing about that?
