Yeah I might be unpopular for saying this because everyone seems to love the idea of the NRL expanding, but I wish PNG and Perth were not a thing. I’m ok with the way the comp is now. Though in all honesty, I’d rather less teams than more.

Rumour that Parra now will not take up JDB's 2nd year of his contract after the Luai signing. Again, would be another great option for a year to add depth. Could be another good rotation at 8/13 and would be one of the better defenders at the club.

You don't think a 200K squad filler plays maybe 5-6 games his defence in the middle is still good

Not a fan of getting JDB, but I think everyone needs to recalibrate on when a footy players time is up.

These days they are playing longer....34 to 36 is retirement age for most and some are pushing 37-38. Depends on workload and position of course.

I think as well people forget JDB had about 2 years out of the game so his body hasn’t gotten as much wear and tear

Some do, especially middles. Can take a while to get accustomed to the grind. He’s definitely an upgrade on Bunty/ Royce

Lol doubt they’d get rid of them, especially with the size of Penrith’s junior base.

I’d get rid of either the Roosters or Souths, no need to have 2 teams in that area. Of course that’s NEVER gonna happen though! The other one I’d cull would be the Titans, the Gold Coast teams, in all their forms, have failed miserably since their inception. In reality, one of either the Bulldogs or Tigers are surplus also.
