I haven’t seen any footage, but reports are Talatau Amone the cousin of the Fainu boys is playing brilliantly since joining a Qld Cup club a few weeks back.
He is only 24y.o and his career stalled due to an off field incident, but it appears he is making the most of his 2nd chance so far.
I remember him as a strong ball running 5/8 with good speed and good deception with ball in hand.
Apparently 2 Sydney clubs have offered him a Train & Trial deal for 2027.
I know we are not really looking for another 5/8, but with his family connection another good quality player in the mix would not hurt.
Some may say this could potentially be a blockage for Josh Schuster, I think we will do our best to mould Schuster into the type of 13 we are looking for and will focus on him working hard and getting the job done in defence as we know his attacking ability won’t be a problem.

We have no need for him.

I saw a clip yesterday where they were talking about the Broncos run home and their chances of playing finals. Slater said that all the teams they were playing on the run home were either above or below them…Yeah.

Ha! That was my first thought. Then I realised he meant AND close to them…ie they also need the 2 points to make the 8. Eg it then is worth 4 points vs that team
