I think the main 2 who have were the blue wiggle but if I remember correctly he wanted to make us back into Balmain and like an old club only playing at Leichhardt with no jersey sponsors. And I think Arthur laundy threw his hat in the ring when all the hbg stuff dropped last year.

Crap he is. Common dont rewrite his story where he came out and wanted a Balmain Tiger only but realistically said something like the $$$ to do it were impossible. Thats not saying he doesn't want WT to win, similarly I presume Burgess and the other debenture knuckleheads want WT to win as well, but also like Magpies. They're there through Wests Ashfield -the Magpies club. I'm all for getting rid of the archaic debenture system and then seeing what happens when standard Leagues Club administrative governance is in place. Jesus, does every thread have to dissolve into this shit with the usual people dumping on the club every time? Let's try to get rid of the debenture system which is probably the most useful of low hanging fruit we can realise.

The answer had been trotted out dozens of times - and it doesn't require private ownership, or necessarily a change in the debenture system to achieve (although that would be a big step in the right direction).

The answer is investment - HBG makes plenty of coin but is not investing it in the one of the organisations it was founded to nurture and support. FFS, they are spending money on buying into rival codes when we are the least funded team in the league and have been floundering at the bottom of the table for 15 years as a result.

It is a bit like being in business and wondering why customers aren't coming though the doors when you aren't spending any $ on advertising.

Penrith once had a board that loathed spending money on the football department because it cost them money that they could be spending on their punters. It took time but they now see the benefits of investing in the football team (the advertising) to get punters through the doors.

IF HBG could be focussed similarly there would be no need for change - the facts are clear though - after 15 years we still see the minimal investment required in the football club. SM may have a plan to develop the best NRL pathways system in the world; but it isn't happening without investment!

So what's new? We are use to it, but without major changes at the top level, nothing will change at this club. More of rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.

Forums are for the logical and for the emotional and everywhere in between.

For whatever reason people will say and believe in things that are not logical but feel it's the right thing to say and come to conclusions because of their feelings. It may seem like whinging and whining and it might be, however a forum is not our place to judge on why someone thinks this way but we can certainly disagree without getting personal.

And all of us come to conclusions without knowing the full story, so really, none of us can be totally logical, confirmation bias.

It happens in politics all the time, an example is Pauline's popularity.

I think you have some good ideas but everyone on here has good ideas, some more than others

Pauline is very easy she's the anti vote for alot of people but for me I will vote for her because of the simple reason it can not be honestly worst then Albo
