Whilst Samuela brings plenty on our edge, I have long been amenable to shifting him to prop if we could nab a good alternative. He would instantly bring that no nonsense enforcer type dominant middle that WT are sorely lacking.

His defence on an edge thus far in his career has me thinking his future may be in the middle.

Hard to compare since I don’t really know anything about him. However I was disappointed in Morris’ tenure with us, I thought he would’ve brought more since he had some coaching experience already. Hopefully the new bloke will bring more to the table for us, i guess time will tell.

If it's 20-22 teams everyone should play each other once you could do some rounds with only 5 games to spread out the season

Also mid season I would have a trade break say after round 11 everyone gets a bye that weekend you could trade players and send them off to a new club the NRL will still be in the paper for the trade window

I would also have a reserve grade knockout on Wednesday nights with Qld NSW clubs the two best WA clubs and hopefully 1 Melbourne club I would love to watch it the NRL could give the players some cash what they need players will feel special being on television and get exposure and you could play with any new rules it's on tv the fans could see what they are trying to change

That’s why I think the 2 conferences work . You play your conference twice , and then the other conference, whether it be 24 games that you play 6 of the ten 1 season then the other 4 plus 2 the next , then the other 6. So every 3 years you play each team in the opposite conference twice .
Siro says it’s a shit idea , but if you think about it’s not really .
You could have a conference of 2xNZ teams , Melbourne , st merge , Canberra , Cronulla, souths , roosters ,manly , .
And another of Wests, Eels, panthers , dogs,Perth/ norths ,Brisbane, dolphins , titans , cowboys , chiefs .
It’s stops NZ and Perth having to travel to each other twice a year , some yewrs not even playing each other . It’s a very long way .
Teams can do the far north qld travel away , so PNG , and NQ in b2b weeks and be smart with logistics . Because that’s ultimately what sank the reds .
Also by keeping the wests Sydney teams together you maintain their rivalries because let’s face it , as much as the traditionalists want to talk about the roosters and souths … we don’t really have much of a rivalry with them . The 4 east Sydney and manly all have real rivalries with each other, and so does Newcastle with manly .
I think you could swap Newcastle and Perth to make it fair for travel or not . But yea .
I genuinely think that’s the future of the game . Logistics are a huge issue as we expand .
Perth and PNG running costs will be astronomical compared to Sydney teams .

Speaking as a rusted on dinosaur i see no magic in over saturating the market and turning the game into a circus via 2 conferences and wildcard semi final anytime soon .
The game has consistently changed its rules on the run for the last decade .
Looking forward to the 1st episode of "the real housewives of the nrl"

I'd definitely take sloan, especially if we could get him as depth, having that speed as an option in the back would help so much

Outstanding if true.
He is a real man’s man who does not tolerate softness or bullshit.
I’m not sure if he’s more suited to defence or attack, but his presence will be felt that’s for sure and certain as he is not the type of person who will just sit back and accept mediocrity.

I watch a few games and butler will definitely add momentum with powerful carries
Jayme while I don’t think she’s a speedster but isn’t slow either. She is a good finisher in that her timing running onto the ball is good. Holds her body well coming into contact when scoring.Above average dirty carries. Defensively ok from what I remember of her.
Both are solid signings imo

The girls desperately need speed, what are the odds of getting jakiya back?

It’s just another money maker for the NRL.
Top 6 teams don’t need to give their players a rest in round 26 as they have the next weekend off.
Teams who are guaranteed to finish between 10th & 7th regardless of their result from final round match (R26) I imagine these teams will rest their players in the final round to freshen them up for the wildcard game the following week.

I think they should wait till we have 20 teams, 2x10 teams competitions with both comps top 3 getting a weeks rest and teams 4 from both comps playing the opposite comps team 5 for the final 2 teams in a 8 team final system as it is now.
If one of the 10 team competition was strong than the other you could end up with both their 4&5 teams making the top 8.

Can you imagine playing the same 9 teams twice a season? How incredibly boring would that be. There is no need for conferences. None
